Now, I have no idea if this belongs in this board, Plugging or Random... But since it is about manga, I'll stick it here.

Now, some of you know, I run a scanlation group. What a scanlation group does, is translate and upload english versions of manga that you read! Most of the time, it will be unlicensed manga that isn't available in english yet (or never).

I've been running this basically by myself for a few months, but there is just too much work for one person to handle... And I need people to help me if they can~ I can provide the programs and training if you need/want it:

Translater - Translates from Japanese -> English.

Cleaner/Editer - Gets rid of the original Japanese text in the Manga with Photoshop so that the English translations can go on them. They also fix up various mis-scans and low-quality scans.

Typesetter - Using Photosop (or whatever), they stick the translations in the manga that the Cleaners have finished cleaning.

My scanlation group is called ATM and our forum link is http://atm.zenaku.net/forum

We currently scanlate 3 series, 'Rave Master', 'Doujin Work' and 'Addicted to Curry', but I am always open to suggestions for new series to scan~

You can see how this was a lot of work for one person to do alone... So any help will be appreciated!

I'd love to help out. But I don't have photoshop. Neither do I know how to use it. I also cannot understand fully understand Japanese.

It's much easier than people think... my bro learnt how to do it without my help in an hour =/ but no pressure =3

Of course, there is that nice feeling to have your accountname/name slapped on the credits page at the end

I have photoshop <:

I could easily figure out typesetting (and make it look good - some scan lations I read make me cry). Don't know how people clean up the pages though - I've always wondered >__>

And unfortunatly I have a lack of Japanese knowledge, so I can't translate Dx

On the downside though, my computer with Photoshop does tediously slow and I'm extremly lazy (but do have much time xDD).
