Saddest Moments in Video Games

Because I get this feeling people would kill me for starting another Crisis Core topic like twenty minutes after a new one's been made, I've decided to make a 'Saddest Video Game Moments' thread so that I can rant about Crisis Core nonetheless (hopefully this isn't considered a spoiler (it IS predictable enough after all) but the game is rife with moments to touch your heart, stroke it gently for a few minutes then RIP IT OUT AND GIVE IT TO HOJO FOR CRAZY EXPERIMENTATION) and everyone else can rant about other sad things.

Basically... This thread is to list your top five (or less, is you're some insensitive jerk that laughs at other's misfortune) sad gaming moments. One rule though? No mocking others for their teary eyed times, because all of us cry over different things. Kapeesh?

Discuss each other's moments, though, by all means. And ask why these things make others feel sad, because it promotes healthy discussion.

Final, obvious rule, is to put anything really spoilerific behind spoiler tags. xD

I cried for 10 minutes. LOL. Like, sitting in front of the tv, staring at the credits BAWLING my eyes out. Then my mom came home and was like, "OMG WHY ARE YOU CRYING DDD:" and I said, "Kingdom Hearts. Omgwtfbbq." And she laughed at me D:

Okay, this whole game like, depresses me. After playing it and now replaying it, it's weird going through the game when I know what's gonna happen at the end... :'(

Am I the only one to cry when Tidus had the breakdown in Al Bhed Home after finding out Yuna's fate? It was so sad! I love how Tidus is so realistic in his actions in relation to most FF heroes. T_T He's so sweet...

It's one of my favorite bits of the game.

"'After this is over'- I said! Ugh, I'm such an idiot!" <-- Best. FF line. Ever. For once someone acknowledges their mistakes in a way that isn't utter melodramatic (see Vincent for examples)

Although, Zack's emotions are well displayed too (he actually cries when his friend (click on the first or third spoiler tags in my first comment to see who) dies)...

zOMG you didn't even mention Xaldin. XALDIN WAS ULTIMATE, no one beats Axel, but Xaldin just had excellent hair and weaponry, and his stance was awesomez

I am getting really, really, really sick of Crisis Core. Seriously, I am. And Final Fantasy in general.

I didn't cry at the end of KHII coz I was happy but

I played this really weird game which I've never seen before or since called "Shadow of Memories" I think, and you have to go back in time to stop yourself getting murdered a bunch of times. So I FINALLY finished the game, and then

I think in "Shadow of Memories" though I remember in the end movie there was a big "D" in the corner, which made me think maybe there were alternate endings; there were a bunch of places you could choose different options. But, as I said, I've never seen the game again, so I really couldn't say.

i wanted to post the same thing but looks like people have already metioned the axel thing from kh2 ='[ that was one of the saddest parts in my video gaming history TT.TT maybe another one is also the ending for Tales of the Abyss.... the credits always bum me out =.=

i hated that moment in kh2 TTTT.TTTT

normally people have a way of telling me what happens in games (people dying/secretly their parent/child etc etc) but i did not see AT ALL axel dying... I seriously loaded my last save coz i just COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

Then my sister (riven) who had been watching from the pc came over and we seriously had a cry together... the coolest character (sides Riku) left... and it felt so empty after that 2...
BRING BACK AXEL IN KH3!!!!

And I've played through the entire game, (and managed to get rather attached to Zack) only for the final cutscene to happen. I hate j00 squeenix.

But I get to play through on New Game+ now, so I guess its okay. Until I finish it again...
