Top Videogame Heroes and Villians?

Name your top couple of Villians and heroes from Videogames, I wanna make the point of excluding all Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Characters from this list as they seem to get more attention than anyone else on these forums x.x

Mine would have to be:

Villians - Kain from the Legacy of Kain series (Would rather destroy the world then sacrifice himself in the end)

Shang Tsung from the Mortal Kombat series (Soul stealer and Fatality specialist)

Ganondorf from the Legend of Zelda series (So powerful they can't destroy him XD)

Heroes - Samus Aran from the Metroid Series (Shes awesome, also you wouldn't believe how many people claim she isn't a woman, I think brawl fixed that XD)

Toon Link from the Legend of Zelda series (I think he's the most under rated one

Snake from Metal Gear Solid - The ps1 game (I think this is when Snake was at his best)

-That's a bit unfair excluding Final Fantasy Villians..

- Villains-
Apocalypse From Street Fighter VS X- Men. He's just very surpiseing, you don't expect him to arrive and when you see him slowly transform into a big massive---thing--that almost takes up the whole entrie screen, it's just one big shock. Plus the name is cool.

Queen Zeal Chrono Trigger. The Evil Queen lady, who summons Lavos to destory the world in the Year 1999, and even control her time -well in fact control time, period xd

Dr. Robitnik The intellgient sciencest from Russia who turns animals into robots< sounds whack> but he was actually a pretty good bad guy, and had awesome boss themes..

- Heroes -

Strider Hiryu = Strider. Hiryu is the awesome calm and collected kind of guy who doesn't really give a crap while slashing people, and he wears purple. Ten points !!

Lara Croft Lara is a original and awesome main character, unique and she also broke that stereotypical idea of gaming heroes. Plus her character persona is really kool

Kriby Aww come on, he's so pink and cute :3

They just had one asking that, and personally, allot of people think only FF x.x when it comes to rpg's

Dr robotnik - epic mostache in a flying saucer

pink ghost (pacman) - he was pink and feared

bowser - the only turtle to ever get more action with human chics than a young rich italian guy

head crab (hl2) - for the million and one interesting uses for a head crab

albert wesker - hed physics sephy up bad any day

heros

capitan falcon - falcon puuuunch! enough said

kirby - because it is the only dodgy ballon charecter ever

pacman - cause he can eat soo much

the turret in space invaders - cause we all know he was epic and just holding back

ninja (MGS1) - why oh why did they drop this charecter he would have made the rest of the mgs sooo much better as we wouldnt have to deal with raiden

Mario is without a doubt my favourite hero of all time. Very Happy

No angst. No monologues. Just good clean ass stomping.

And I guess to continue with the Nintendo theme, the Master Hand has to rank pretty highly on the list of villains. I mean, all he does is exist and kill you. That's his entire gig. Talk about specialization.

GLaDOS (from Portal) Because she was just awesome and hillarious.

Lavos (From Chrono Trigger) C'mon, He's a big spikey thing that destroys the world without doing anything (other than waking up)

(can't think of any more)

Heros

All I can think of are Final Fantasy ones, Mario and Link.

Big ups to your choice on Kain!! Legacy of Kain series had one of the greatest stories ever.
Interesting Final Boss in Defiance though - Along with the End

Heroes

Old Snake (MGS4) ~ He's quite the warped bat-fowling horn-beast, but I must say out of all snakes I like him the most. He's awesome.

Spawn! ~ My favourite hero of all time would have to be Spawn... come on.. he's Spawn, he looks like a villain, but he's a hero.. He's grotesque, undead, and just so dark, this is what I'm attracted to :3 he isn't exactly a videogame villain though. He had one game which was kinda.. shoddy.

Villains

Kain (LoK Series) ~ Kain was great, and so knowledgeable, he knew so much about the future, and the world around him, he could choose his own fate, and in Blood Omen he just seemed to want to slaughter anything with a pulse

Colonel Volgin (MGS3) ~ God yes, I love Russians. And Volgin, oh man, he's so great, he's a hardcore Sadist, and has great ambitions, I would've joined his side any day.
Also... Any of the Cobras from MGS3, they all have excellent abilities.. The Pain, not so much :/

Villains

Lezard Valeth; Valkyrie Profile
Lezard is pretty much the coolest geek in history. Smart, poetic and really creepy, he also proves that even the most calm, collected voice actors can provide great evil laughs. He gets thumbs up from me for the best battle quotes, too.

Takaya; Persona 3
I like hippies, and Takaya is the ultimate hippie. I be diggin' his tiara, too. <3

Erol; Jak 2 + 3
He's a psychotic British elf with a nice ass. I need no more reason to love him.

Seraphic Radiance; Shadow Hearts 1
She's a goddess who only seems to live to turn assorted hot guys into naked woman with wings for ears. Seriously, the scene where Yuri failed to fuse with her was the greatest in history. I mean... Dude, come on. She wakes up, Yuri fuses with her, and then together they burn down Shanghai. That's pretty epic.

Heroes

Yuri; Shadow Hearts 1 + 2
Yuri's my favorite protagonist ever, if just for the fact that he never means to save the world, and he always hates what he's doing. He flirts with attractive woman, winces when he's in pain, falls down when he's hit, and acts like a real guy. He turns into an 100 foot tall woman in one particularly epic scene, and this immediately gives him lots of my respect. Hoorah for Yuri!!

Prince; Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Trilogy
The Prince is cool because he's a character who follows real logic. He's got a genuine personality, and he grows over the three games, like every good hero should. He has to make up for his mistakes, and his voice is very, very nice in SoT and TT. Plus, he turns into a sand monster that wields a spiky chainlink whip. That's a unique weapon if ever I saw one.

Heat; Digital Devil Saga
I like Heat for the fact that he is scarily temperamental. The fact that he's fairly uncaring as to who he sides with is neat, and I like how he always pulls through for the Embryon in the end. x3

Only Defiance, but I've seen a few scenes from the Soul Reaver games on Youtube, and I know the plot of the rest of the series somewhat. =D

OHNOES, Sometimes it's not just the plot that counts, just because I find that the first Soul Reaver was the best because it had heaps of sidequests, AND BLOCK PUZZLES, OHGODYES BLOCK PUZZLES. After that, Soul Reaver 2, and Defiance were just straight lines to the end, they didn't keep me thinking, I just followed the path D:

(Oh along with that, I can quote every scene and boss battle from Soul Reaver, because I lead a sad existence Razz

Well if you havent played Both the Blood omen games you havent seen enough reason to like kain, but I have all of them =D
