Grandia is amazing.

[fanboyrant]It's true, Grandia 1 is and always has been (since 7 or so years ago) the biggest game in my life.

Okay, so Grandia 2 wasn't quite as epic and III wasn't even released outside of America and Japan (wtf) but the the first game has such an amazing storyline, soundtrack, characters and battle system that NO NEXT-GEN game could ever hope to beat. If FFXIII somehow impresses me (FF9 to FF12 are dead to me) then I will eat my hat.
Just proves that you don't need graphics to enjoy a truly fantastic game. I want to cosplay as Justin. >_> Or at least own his damn awesome hat D;[/endfanboyrant]

I recently got it again on my CFW PSP, if anyone here wants it (and they have CFW ofcourse and live in chch) then tell me and I'll give it to you k? ^^

Yeah, Grandia 1 was the best game ever... I actually bought Grandia 2 for the PC... but it won't work with XP T_____T

I loved the first one, I nearly passed it then my brother leant it to a friend and I never got it back ;-;
I have the second one on computer I think but I hadn't got very far and then I haven't played it since... also the first one wins.

Grandia is like crack, sososo addictive. I love Rapp!

Except. My PS is horrid and Grandia always freezes ;o;
I'm too scared to play because last time I swear I was nearly crying due to freezing/skipping/having a spazz. D:

I haven't played any other ones... but everyone says that they're poo, so I don't really mind~

one was cool and so was 2 but nothing can ever compare to Grandea mod FF7 for pc!

Not trying to revive an old topic here, but FF7 is not the be all and end all of RPGs. Grandia on it's own was fine without something like that there.

mmm, yeah, I would advise caution when necroing.... The mods tend to be less than delighted with it... Ware yee least they unleash dorkeh on you...

no its not but the mod for ffvii was a superior game as it kept the same battle engine and story lines and had the boost of the seven game engine which allowed full 3d and had better cinamatic support as the transitions from game to cutscene is much smoother than in the origonal grandeas

And where is this mod, and correct me if im wrong but did grandia ever come out on pc at all? Because I'm pretty sure it didn't, the second game did. What you're describing isnt a mod, a mod works with the current engine and doesnt actually change things to full 3d, not only that but do you know what it would take to make a full conversion? What you're describing is a full seperate game

In short, this mod you describe can't have existed. I even searched the net for a few minutes to try find something that supports your 'mod'.

Its more about topics that are already over or sorted, I think reviving a game or anime thread etc, is fine - cause even if the discussion was over a few months ago, if a new (or old) member has something to add (cause they just saw the topic, or news has come out etc) the other members might want to come back and discuss it. IMO.
(and wow I phail at wording lul)

That aside, I got this game for my 10th birthday - and I still think it's one of the best games for PSX.
I never played the second one though...Is it worth it?

I always wanted to cosplay Feena; but y'know...It's a bit - uhh~ Rikku from FFX-2. X3

Oh my God Grandia was the first RPG I ever played and the first Game I bought (not borrowed or rented) for my Playstation. I love that game to bits and still have my original copy (which I am currently playing through).

I am actully planning to do a Liete cosplay sometime this year and if not this year it will be my first Cosplay for 2010 XD

I LOVE GRANDIA!
I have both but as you said.. the version for PC Sucked..
One was alway the best, because Justin was just so funny!

I didn't like Grandia two, Clearly because the fact Elena was made..
She was a horrible character..
But Millenia...she was foxy and amazing.

Rapp is fairly awesome. I started re-playing Grandia last week. Will be a while before I get him in my party though. ;__;

You know who I don't like? SUE! She's so useless in battle!!!1 And she also needs much more experience before she levels up, and even then pretty much all of her stats are way lower than that of the other characters. Urk!

Had one of the Grandia games on the PC but can't play it much because DAD is in the same room >___>''

Thought that it was okay, but got stuck in one of the early dungeons and think- gave up XD

Probably would of liked / got addicted to it more if was a better game's player.

From what I've heard, the second one (on PC) lets the first one down by far.
I've never played it, though, I'm content to be forever in love with the first. xD
