Well for materials, Spotlight is pretty much the best place to go, as for what to get, seraphik is probably a better person to talk to about types of materials to use as I pretty much don't know the name of a material until I pick it out.

Yeah, Fabric Barn here in Lower Hutt isn't 'tooo' bad, reasonable section, certainly closer than Spotlight, but Spotlight was cheap enough to justify the trip when i actually came to buying something.

tbh fabric barn is pretty expensive (well, on the whole, more expensive than spotlight) depending on what you're buying... i pretty much only go in there for their bargain tables.

Fabric Barn is actually a lot cheaper, when you're buying the basics. For example, at Spotlight, PolyCotton is $6.99 a metre, and they don't have much of a range, whereas Fabric Barn has every colour under the sun, for $3.99.
They also have student discount of 15%

I think you should make it out of a really lightweight satin lining, because it's cheap, easy to sew, would flow nicely, and would catch the light well, because even satin lining has a really nice sheen.
But that's just my opinion Very Happy

^^ cheers Very Happy
I'm gonna go with Kh2 Auron
People in Dunedin Kh2-render_auron
maybe I'd make the lining out of that material
like the outline of his robe
I'd still need the red material/shoulder pad/THAT CONFOUNDED WHITE THING ON HIS NECK WITH BELTS ON IT!!!/Dye my hair black/Sword/i'll just wear normal shoes/lose some weight XXDD
i'll be the fat Auron lolz

You should use no.8 fencing wire under the belt bits to hold it up Very Happy
It's the one thing I couldn't live without for Cosplay Very Happy

Nox managed to get a whole roll of brown quickie-leather from somewhere when he did his cosplay for Chchgeddon, I think maybe Spotlight, that would work well for the belts and shoulder pad thingy?
It was really cheap, and looks quite good Very Happy

It's not really called quickie-leather, we just kept joking that he'd got such a good deal on it that he must have gone for a quickie out the back with the salesperson. Lol.
Its just fake leather, but it's quite well manufactured.

Ok,
1. It wasn't quickie-leather. I payed a full like, $8 for those meters.

2. Spotlight, it's better than Fabric Barn. And you get friend discounts if you go there enough.

3. When does you plans on cosplaying him? 'Cause sometime in the future I'll get the moneys to finish High-Summoner Braska and it'd be cool to have those two together. Hint, nudge, wink etc.
