Has any one made a Storm troopers cosplay before?

| My 4 year old nephew saw a storm trooper at Arkham comics and really want to wear one for Armageddon. I just want to know has anyone made one before? What was the material and the round about cost. Does it require a lot of skill or can newbies attempt to make one?

Those costumes are so cute! I would have never thought to have used foam thanks so much.

I might end up buying it (have still got 3 cosplays to make so I don't really have time to cry over fabric whilst my nephew asks me every 5 seconds 'Is it done yet!')

| Many people use Styrene and a technique called "vacuum forming". This is how the original Trooper costumes were made. :)
This video looks like it might give you an idea of what to do but there are better ones out there.

A few in NZ have bucks and forms to make a full suit, Jon I know well- I have been playing "problem child" testing of some other gear- sigh, ribcage of ridiculous proportions- but on the whole there are people able and willing to help with ideas :)
I think foam is going to be the better option as it is a much less costly investment for something he will grow out of :) |
