The Cosplay Room is a new endeavour to get cosplay events rockin' at Geddon and we'd really love for you guys to come along to the events running in this room and show your support, so we can show event organisers that people love this stuff and maybe it should happen again sometime. ;)

So without further adieu, I present to you the room schedule and a rundown of the events going on. Any questions, feel free to ask here and we'll sort you out!

I really enjoyed the cosplay room! Missed a few panels I would've liked to attend but got lost in the Geddon flow/socialising. I'd love to see a return of this next year. :)

Seconding Rolly. This room was great! And not just for the air conditioning. It was a nice place to have a break and get away from the crowds, and listen to some great speakers on relevant topics. Would love to have this room again next year.

I agree too. It was a super great panel and I'm disappointed that I missed half of them on the Saturday.

I did find it a bit hard to hear though with all the background chatter and shuffling. It was alright if I sat right at the front though.

In it's current state I'd doubt it. The Stables don't exactly have room for a second stage, let alone one decided to cosplay panels.

Well that assumes we are staying in the stables. So more basic question, where is it going to be?

Christchurch:
March 8-9
The Stables, Addington Raceway

This was actually announced long before Auckgeddon came around. If we were going to get a new venue, it would have been announced by now. Given Christchurch's lack of venues there's not exactly much in the way of choice. I know some people have been hopeful that it might be moved to the CBS Arena since it's literally next door, but truthfully, I've been there before and I actually think the Stables have more room since most of the CBS Arena's space is occupied by stadium seating which isn't really ideal for an Armageddon.

Not that I was the sole presenter, but as someone who presented 3 different panels in the room there's no way that I will be attending or presenting at Chchgeddon until a different venue is available, I'm afraid. I imagine other speakers probably feel similarly.

Well if we can't have this at ChCh geddon at least we have SANCon in ChCh, which does have proper rooms. And has had weta speakers two years in a row, and workshops. But it would be nice to have a new venue for ChCh Geddon, and options.

This year no, next year....... I can't say more but I have also been given permission to use the main stage in all venues this year for a cosplay panel.

And a return of the full room schedule for Auckland.
