Hi my name's Amy. This year i'm making my second attempt at cosplaying for Auckgeddon.
I'm relatively new to anime, manga and cosplay (a bit of a late starter) but am learning with a passion so if there is anything you recommend i watch/read/do, let me know Very Happy

Im also keen to meet more people who are interested in the same stuff as me as all my existing friends except my best friend are not interested, despite my best efforts.

and i reccomend an amazing manga called PSYREN, its only 146 chapters long and its finished as well so its not too long, and its also amazingly amazing Very Happy

If you're looking for new anime to watch/read I'd recommend Kuroshitsuji/Black butler and Ao no exorsist, they're pretty dark though xD

I'm into everything :p i guess meaning i haven't seen anything yet that i haven't liked. Anything with a good plot/ good characters. I'm interested in anything that anyone else likes so i can expand my collection.
Ive seen quite a few of the more 'popular' ones like: Bleach, Death Note, Trigun, Code Geass, Kuroshitsuji, Vampire Knights, Rurouni Kenshin, Fruits Basket, Full metal alchemist, elfen lied, Cowboy bebop, berserk, Samurai champloo, Hellsing
What's your favourite/s? right now or of all time?

I recommend watching Mirai NIkii. It's one of my favourite anime! and also watch Sword Art Online. It's the most popular on going anime! everyone's loving that series. It's still on episode 13, every weekend there's a new episode. Crying Flail

Isn't that always the way, lol..

If you like good plots, good characters, and high ~~school~~ drama, I would recommend the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. It was made in 1997, so you don't hear that much about it nowadays. It is slow to get going, but by ep 12 I was hooked.

You might also like Digimon Tamers, or Gankuotsuo: The Count of Monte Cristo, which I haven't seen, but my several people I know have raved about it, so I'll take their word for it.

Baccano and bakemonogatari - if you want a underground hit
Mirai nikki - if you want a anime version of the hunger games
Persona 4 the animation - if you want a cult hit game turn anime
When they cry - if you want a psychophysical drama
paranoia agent and serial experiments lain - if you want a complex story
steins gate and fate zero - if you want a recent hit

Well you've seen my favorite anime of all time already, Samurai Champloo, which is good haha. Other favorites I would highly recommend are Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Azumanga Daioh! and the previously mentioned When They Cry/Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Mirai Nikki (though personally I prefer the manga over the anime).

My favourite anime/manga is D.Gray-Man Very Happy

. They both go on for quite a while, but I really love it Razz

I also love Eureka Seven, and I'm currently watching the sequel series (kinda) called Eureka Seven Ao, which is coming out at the moment (even though Eureka Seven originally came out so many years ago ;w; ).

I'm quite bad a giving recommendations, lol. Someone mentioned Gankutsuou, which is quite good Very Happy

Most of my favourite series are Mecca series OTL. (Eureka Seven, Code Geass, etc) Mecca is just somehow really good, lol.

Oh, and what are you cosplaying to Auckgeddon? Very Happy

I'm not really sure what I'll end up cosplaying to Auckgeddon, I'm really busy and I'm not in my sewing groove atm xD (my signature lies on all four, whoops)(and it's not even 9pm yet and I'm yawning non-stop and just want to go to bed! Razz

Yeah people might be joining up because Auckgeddon is coming up. That's why I did at least. I remember going to the Cosplay Games and someone mentioning this forum to me. I never got round to checking it out till now.

I was gonna do the whole Finn The Human thing. But decided to follow my original love for Pokemon and go as Gary Oak. He's the man.

A lot of the time we get people joining the forums right after Auckgeddon. Auckland is always the city that has the most cosplayers and the most place that people join from.

Haa, Jirachi is a little too new school for me. I like to pretend that no Pokemon were created past 2nd Gen. Consider me old. Razz
