(i sent him a shoebox full of stuff, i did not actually give it to him)

I brought my camera along to my godfather's [s]zombie refuge[/s] piece of land in the foothills of the Tararua's. While I was there doing fantastic stuff like digging a trench through tree roots, I got distracted by the birdlife. A pair of Welcome Swallows have built their nest in the eves of the house there. They spent most of the time circling around and around basically going 'Are they still here? Yep. Try again in 1 minute' or lurking in the orchard patch.

The birdlife is pretty good with Chaffinches, Greenfinches, Wood Pigeons, Tui's, and Fantails aplenty - but I've never seen these before. They'd let you get close enough to take a decent picture, but obvious not use the super macro like a tame peacock or something. That last one is on the digital zoom.

hey it was my mums 50th birthday party yesterday and when she was drunk she tried to fit a big chunk of ice into her alchohol while singing "its in,its in its in its in its in!" so i eventually had to slap her in the face to calm her down. also she got a purple harley davidson motorbike for her birthday from my dad and he first, drove the bike in to a wall and broke some wood of it (the bike was inside) then gave it to my mum with a purple flowerand she said" look rog its purple like my flower!!! she said this about 20 times.

i have a strange mother. sigh

My sister and I are learning the Hare Hare Yukai Dance, and we've pretty much got it perfect XD

Heard back from AUT today, had been chasing them up for info on courses I had applied for since I had also applied for a job and they wanted to get me into their training school on monday and I had to choose one or the other (they are both full time and would have clashed)

Got into Diploma in Japanese, so I'm doing that (I did 5 years of bus driving and want to avoid going back to it if at all possible =p )
