Hi guys,
I'm a long-time lurker on these forums, and finally decided to sign up!

My name's Hayley, I've been a costumer for about 7 years now. I've probably met most of you at Armageddon!

I love costuming and researching costume components. I also love pattern manipulation and drafting (there's nothing like successfully eliminating a series of annoying darts from a pattern!), and am rather obsessed with Swarovski crystals.

I started out doing a lot of Anime costumes (Miaka - Fushigi Yuugi, Videl/ Pan - Dragonball Z/GT, Lenne - FFXII etc), started doing movie costumes (Anna Valerious - Van Helsing), and shortly after discovered the 501st and Rebel Legions, that do Star Wars costumes and joined up with them. I now have about 6 Princess Leia costumes under my belt, as well as a Padme, Imperial Officer, Jedi, and am currently working on an Aayla Secura costume for Armageddon Auckland :)

Glad to be here, and hope to get to know some of you a bit better than just as "the person who wore _ at Armageddon" Razz

Greetings Ember, no doubt as a long time lurker you have realised the danger you have put yourself in. These be strange folk and my advice would be to run away as fast as you can..........I am afraid .....it ...is ....too.....late ......for.....me!!! Laughing

Actually there are some neat peoples here and I look forward to seeing you once again in Auckland.

I never really got into Naruto, but I've been making my way through 12 Kingdoms, and have been tempted to do some of the costumes from there :)
I'm also a big Clamp fan, and for the longest time wanted to do Umi from Rayearth. Who knows, it may still happen!

Haha. Ok, Im sorry. That was hilarious for the rest of us, but probably rather disturbing for you.
You tried very hard, and handled that situation rather well... At least until he actually did get his hug in the end. Then you probably experienced a mental breakdown.

Yeah... once he moved on to hugging the troopers it was like " Neutral

back away slowly..." But then the Robot Chicken team came to the rescue and calmed him down Razz

Omg, that is truly funny watching it again.
He hugs Seth and friends, and everyone assumes it is all over, and suddenly he moves on to the troopers as well, and as he makes his way down the row it suddenly dawns on everyone who is last in the row, and what their particular predicament may well be...

I thank you heartily for the laugh at any rate!
You can add it to the list of weird con experiences you can talk about years later!
