What could be made out of this? By Rikku. 04/07/11, 09:30 am |
| Yo ho ho. 8D THis isn't really for a costume as such, though if anybody can think of a costume to turn it into I'd lol and be happy to make it. XD This is a random dress I have but don't /really/ suit. Long things look like nighties on me, rather than dresses. Things that end just above the knees is more my style(or so I'm told by other people), but if it's a cosplay then I could make it work. XD
- Spoiler:
Those are the pictures. Sorry they're so blurry. I was trying to fight off my boyfriend, to keep him from getting into my room. XD /Embarassed in dresses. What do you guys think? Could it be turned into a cosplay? If not, what could I do to it to make it look.... Better? To me, at the moment, it's kinda boring. Just straight with no real prettyness on it. So if it can't be turned into a cosplay, how could I butcher it to make it look better? 8D
Love you gaiz! (I think this should be in this topic... xD) |

| The first thing I think of is Panty from Panty and Stocking. >>; but I don't know if she has a dress with that sort of top style. |

| It wouldn't be too hard to take in. If you like the neckline of it, then put in on inside out, pin in new side seams in the mirror (so it fits your waist and hips properly), and work out how much shorter you want it to be. Take it off and tidy up your new side seams (using chalk or pins, make it a smooth curve, and the same on both sides), and cut & hem the bottom to be the length you want it to be. Use a straight stitch to sew up the side seams, trim the excess and do your new hem, and voila!
The only way that might be slightly trickier is if the dress is lined, in which case you'd need to do the same thing, but on each layer (shell and lining) seperately. |

| Characters that come to my mind are Julia from Final Fantasy 8 and Sakura from Naruto... Lol, though I'm pretty sure there are lots of characters with red dress type clothes...I just can't think of any more at the moment :s
On a random note, your bedroom door is missing a corner!! ...oh wait, technically it gained a corner...o_O |
