Buying wigs in China?

So one of my friends si going to China soon and I've managed to con him into buying wigs for me 8D ~~with my money~~

Just a question for anyone who's bought wigs in China before, how much did the wigs cost? Like would prices on TaoBao be a good estimate? Just wanting to know how much money would be good to give to him.

When I got mine, most were around $20-$40 dollars, with lengths from short to waist length, but a styled one I got was the most expensive, and was like, $50? I think.

From what I've bought, short wigs are around $20NZD, depending on the exchange rate, and long ones are around $30-$40, depending on the shop you buy from on TB 8)
Really worth it, imo- especially if you buy from the more well-known shops which sell reaaaally neat wigs~

i bought some for like... 160-180 yuan each? ~30 nzd. i found the shop when i was wandering around an industrial chinese city though, lmao, so that might not be very accurate...

The prices on Taobao can vary, but you need to be careful, because a lot of the time the wigs don't exactly match the photos. Also, you'll need a Chinese bank account.

Another thing that comes into mind is that shipping can take over a week, and sometimes they don't have enough stock. Generally, the longer and the more odd-coloured wigs are more expensive.

The wigs they sell in those indoor markets tend to be more expensive, around 100 yuan each (~$20NZD), and they'll charge you more if they think your friend is a foreigner. >.> However, most of the colours tend to be black or very dark brown.

All good thanks. I've seen some TaoBao shipping services you can go through so you don't need a chinese bank account.

Also my friend is going over for a relative's wedding and is chinese, so no need to worry about being suspected of being a foreigner lol.
