Possible Yu-Gi-Oh group 2011

hiya guys!
For AuckGeddon 2011, we're having a Yu-Gi-Oh group!
If you would be interested in doing this, just post below with the name of the character you'd want to cosplay as. We'll be meeting on the saturday at around 2pm (TBC)

PHOTOS: We're obviously going to want to have a photo shoot, so anyone who knows a photographer who would take photos for us, PLEASE ASK THEM. I was thinking that once the photos are taken, if they're emailed to me by the photographer, i can easily put them on facebook, the photos thread on CNZ, etc, or email them to you (you'd have to give me your email). Post below with any other ideas pertaining to the photo shoot. :) Otherwise I will be the photographer. And i'm REALLY not great at photography, so it'd be a colossal fail.

NOTE: All characters are welcome, whether from Yu-Gi-Oh, 5Ds or GX. Double ups are fine. :)

But yeah I'm keen for this, but only if it's not on comp day, already have plans for that. *Pokes siggy* I'd be keen to cosplay Anzu or Malik, not sure which probably Anzu, throw me down as maybes for those characters please?

I plan on cosplaying Pharaoh Atemu soon, possibly for Welly comp so look out for me if you go. Wink

that'd be brilliant! the only problem is that i'm 14, so i have to have my family with me....Wellington's too far to go when you have a family of 6. sweatdrop

Can you tell me wich days are comp days? i've never been to anything like this before, i'm totally just jumping in at the deep end lol. Plus the Armageddon webpage confuses me. I can't find anything on it!

The Cosplay Contest is always on the last day of Geddon. But Comp Contest for AuckGeddon next year might be on a Sunday, the judges are trying to hold it then as the Monday and Friday of this years AuckGeddon isn't a public holiday/school holidays making it difficult for some people to attend those days.

As it gets closer to the date, the Armageddon Expo site will put the timetables up and you can see there, this won't happen for a while but here's the link anyway so you can keep checking:

I don't worry about height either, I cosplayed Ichimaru Gin from Bleach at AuckGeddon and he's 6'1, I'm only 5'3.

@Thread: I'm leaning more towards Anzu right now but am worried I'll probably die from the heat if it's a hot day as I'm planning to wear her school uniform.

I haven't completely decided between her or Malik or even what outfit to wear but schoolgirl Anzu is one of my top choices at the moment. :think:

haha, true. Wear biking shorts underneath, then you'll be covered, but you won't be able to tell when you wear a skirt cuz biking shorts are tight. Trust me, i know they're tight - bad memories of my friends ex boyfriend. My brain was scarred for life LOL

I do that anyway when wearing short skirts for cosplay. Although you are right about not being able to tell if they are shorts or underwear due to the length, there's this one (Accidental) upskirt shot of me and it looks like I'm wearing panties even though it's actually a pair of boyshorts. stare

I was wondering, if anyone was willing, if we could do our own version of this? I've asked Malindachan's permission, and she's fine with it. (I know i'm doing it, even if no one else ends up doing it with me - it sounds like fun!) We'd design our own dresses, etc, and I'd see if i could organize a photoshoot. Very Happy

In case you were wondering, I'm making my own version of Princess Judai, it might end up being my outfit for this group, instead of regular Judai. Depends how things go. Anyways, who'd be up to doing this with me? Also, this doesn't have to be cardgames in DRAG. You could cosplay as an already female character, and design a dress for them, or even make them into a male!

edit/extra: I thought i should add it into here as it's a YGO related group, and it's an extra to this. :) Tell me if you think i should move it and make a new topic for this idea. Thanks guys!

It's a nice idea but I want to stick to my original plan of cosplaying Anzu in her school uniform or maybe one of her other outfits. I've decided on Anzu so you can confirm me for her and take me of the list for Malik. nodnod

Do you know what day this will be on yet? Most days should be free for me except contest day.
