Only a week to go, hall is confirmed!
Not sure if people want food or not, if you would rather I can drop the price to $5 and we can just not have food? or BYOB if you want anything?

I figured it would be easier to just do a supermarket raid and cook a whole bunch of nice things up for people to eat, rather then the hassle and expense of going out, but I guess whatever the majority would like to do.... I will make a poll if I can.

I'm bringing Xbox with Guitar Hero and Wii as usual, plus will try and have some other games organized as well!

Make sure you bring a present for the present game!

Aw, I was really excited for this but my final piano concert is the same night and I have to be somewhere early the next morning.

Due to no one prepaying, I will not be providing food due to the problems in accurately determining food budget without prepaid numbers

There will be Xbox + Wii with all games and controllers I can bring.
Does anyone want to bring an extra wii controller? I have 3.

Since no one prepaid and it's bring your own food to share - how much will this cost? $10 still or the $5 someone suggested?

As the first post, $5 entry, bring food for yourself if you want, there will be time to go and grab dinner at KFC or whichever.

I decided not to do bring a plate because

*some people don't come because they don't have time to make something to share
*some people don't bring a plate and it's not really fair on those that do

The advantage of having everyone pay a couple of bucks for food is that it's very cheap to put on a decent dinner for everyone and there is a wide variety and not just junk food.

The disadvantage is that it's a lot of extra effort to organize, it's hard to spend enough so that everyone has enough to eat and that you use all the money people bring OR you spend too much and are out of pocket because not enough people attended.

Even in terms of what needs to be done to create an event for the Cosplay Club, I have to take 2days off work, I spend 5-7hours preparation, 5hours packing and unpacking all the equipment and decorations I bring to these events and then another 3hours or so cleaning up and putting everything away again. It's very time intensive but I'm happy to put on an event for the club which will bring everyone together and give people a memorable social event to end the year.
