Auckgeddon 2010 - Lost/Found/Stolen

OK, kicking it off, I spotted this in Sideswipe.

I'm also aware Fraser (JudasNZ) lost a Lens for his camera on Monday during the cosplay on stage, I believe he was up on the first level seats somewhere and misplaced it while changing lenses during the main cosplay event on stage.

If anyone else has anything lost/found/etc please feel free to add.

My friend (Sousuke from Project Yaminabe) got a pack of Yugioh trading cards stolen right off the table he was playing at! O_O

Ninja-S lost: a black cat eared hat
Jizzoka lost: a Cloud strife pin

Pixel lost two items. Very Expensive D8
A large white box with ipod speakers in it ;-;
Her white adidas Jumper.

The jumper should have been returned to her as it had been taken care for by the information desk the day before. I blame the armageddon staff for that one T.T

Wow, well, I guess as the number of people at the event has increased, so too have the number of "unsavory" ppl...
Its sad, but I guess a lesson to us all to be careful now. At least star trek guy and other such incidents seem to have been kept to a minimum.

I lost my mind. If anyone has seen it, can they please capture and return. It may not want to come peacefully, and is a little blue round the edges, but its really a nice mind...

I think I saw your mind as I was leaving on Sunday, it was sitting in amongst a bunch of bikini clad figurines iirc

It really sucks that there are people who think it's fine to steal stuff like that comming to events now, going to have to keep a better eye on my stuff as I have in the past a feeling that I could be a tad more lax on keeping an eye on my things at geddon

We had reports all day at the Information Booth of peoples phones and wallets being stolen right out of their handbag or back pocket.

Ladies if you have a purse please keep it closed, and guys don't keep your wallet in your back pocket!!

Lost a black Fujifilm camera bag/case... Its not worth anything, but would be awesome to have it back as my camera keeps switching on. :)

And don't always trust other cosplayers with your stuff (unless you are friends with them). I had a cosplayer poach my stuff before, and it makes you feel even worse than if some random did it.

@Sock; the white jumper's at Xiggers' place, last I checked. She'll keep it safe until it can be returned/picked up/whatever.

Well I lost a small cheap lens hood, that will probably cost like heaps to replace. It seems to have popped off at random a few times. But given the zealous cleaning staff I think it's gone.

I know Floyd had costume stolen off him while he slept. So not cool.

Wondering if Rikki's dog was found. I saw it in someones top later. Never caught up with them though.

I was lucky that my wallet was turned in at the desk on saturday with the money still inside. The armageddon staff apparently found it so they really not all that bad.

Wasn't mine. It belonged to the Kiba floating around. I borrowed it cause I wanted to play with it, and then when I was done I put it done with all the bags and the bucket. Then when Kiba came back for it... gone. Idek wtf happened, considering there were like ten people there the whole time.

Awesome news Father Nightroad :) Yeah there are luckily some good people around still :)

Weta had pieces filched too. Grrr. I think other stands had the same issue.

For once I didn't lose my phone! (Last time it was actually in my boot but I couldn't feel it towards the end of the day....) And while I had a panicky moment I actually have all my costume pieces back here. Amazing.

Oh, well it may have been Kiba who I saw with it. He had it stuffed down his jacket. If it was the same dog and the same person/kiba. No idea where he found it, didn't manage to catch up and ask him.

I hope whoever left their Tsubasa dvds behind got them back, found them on the first day I think it was, handed them in to Information. Guard your valuables with your lives at Geddon people, it's way to easy to lose them and always keep them close where you can see them.

Very concerning about the wallet theives. Especially if people are carrying lots of cash for use at the stalls around Geddon.

P.S> I saw a few people with badges and signs saying they lost "The Game".

...Hope they got it back again.

@mystix-candy Sephiroths Daughter said she had them... So... ~Dont worry~ I kinda found them in my room randomly one time and i have no idea where they came from so... I wouldnt have cried if anything happened to them ^^

And idea for Future Auckgeddon's that worked with me:
1.Find a friend/Fellow trustworthy cosplayer/fellow trustworthy cosplayer who has a trustworthy friend that has a car.
2. Get them to park near the event and split the parking costs and maybe shout the car owner lunch or something as payment and use their car as storage!

I did it this year... And it was really helpful. It means stuff is nicely locked away in a place YOU can find it~ You just gotta make sure you sort out a time to pick up stuff from the car.

Definitely not a good thing with pilfering - although I must say I think I lost my lens fair and square (they roll silently away sometimes, almost as if they've enough of life with me...)

Looks like I have a chance to go for a wider lens for Welly then Smile

my friend's camera got stolen at 'geddon. D:
me and naruto found someones stuff that had been left with us,
it was some brown bracelet things and a box set of some kind.
We left it at the info desk ^^

Was it a white badge with Pedobear on it? I think I may have it. I saw somebody drop it as they were getting in a car, and the car drove away too fast for me to return it.
