home she wasnt at the church cos that would have come down I would say. Power is down in most places. Big aftershocks happening every few minutes.

Search and Rescue are currently being deployed down from Auckland (within the hour from what I heard about 40 mins ago) my family is part of that so I'll get some more inside news.

Google has started up a special People Finder page for people who are desperate for info about a particular person or have information pertaining to someone that other people may be enquiring about. It would be great if people could spread this link around to other people they know by twitter/facebook/whatever else. If there is no info listed about them, you can start a "missing persons" page asking for info from the public.

So glad to hear that most people are alright so far. I've been a nervous wreck since I heard it happened, especially since my parents were due to be in ChCh CBD sometime this week and I couldn't remember what day.
