Accommodation thread?

Ok, I'm really hoping I'm not completely blind and missed an already existing one, but I was thinking it might be helpful to have an accomodation sticky thread somewhere.
I've had trouble finding accomodation close to the ASB showgrounds for Auckgeddon seen as last time we were about a half hour walk away and I was in pain every time I arrived. I'm not really sure how to find places other than typing 'accomodation close to the asb showgrounds' into google sweatdrop

So I was thinking we could have a thread similar to the tutorial threads and things under each of the event headings with lists of places that are close. It could be mostly user created so that when people stay somewhere they can post in the thread with where they stayed, how close they were, price compared to quality of rooms and stuff like that.
I know I'd find it helpful, and I'm sure people new to travelling to cons would too.

Total agreement. My Google skills phail with a ph. A thread like this would be really helpful for those of us that are going up there and staying in a hotel there for the first time. xD;;;

I was, but I was only going to do her if my friend that is cosplaying Rei couldn't go. But she can go now (yay!) so I'm being Asuka to match her Very Happy

And I'd also want to use my real hair for Rikku, but I can't afford to go back blonde until after my exams. But I see you're cosplaying Rikku! For Auckgeddon?

Eeee real hair. I did real hair for her at ChChGeddon. It took an hour and a half, and it was barely accurate. x.x
The Rikku in my signature is just there cos she's the one I've already done, and I didn't feel like excluding her frmo the picture. xD
But I will probably do her one of the days for AuckGeddon. ^^

You have scouted a place for us to stay though haven't you? This was more just a 'I have an idea that might benefit people!' than a need for Auckgeddon accommodation. BUT that is certainly a helpful link. You clever you!
