OK, some of you may be on their mailing list, but for those of you that didn't know, Global Fabrics has a mailing list. Ask about it in store - Auck, Wgtn, ChCh.

I've only recently joined their mailing list, but this turned up in the email this morning.

As far as I can tell there's nothing restricting it's usage other than you'll need to print it off. You might also want to join their mailing list for next time. ;P

Technically that should just be for you ;) I have the hard copy which has my name and address printed on it ;)

The staff may ask for your name to compare to the mailing list if you print it off and use it :)

Generally the public sale has another 10% off anyway (if the VIP is 30% it'll be a 40% sale to the public after and being the middle of the year it will probably be a 50% sale to the public :)

The VIP discount is to give those of us who have signed up a chance to get stuff first if not quite so cheaply ;)

LOL, yeah, I didn't get a hardcopy addressed one or anything, just an email with only the image in it - no Hi xyz or anything. lol. Plus i've never actually 'bought' anything there, just filled in the form when I was in there with Static one day. :)

I did look to see if there was anything limiting it, and apart from the 'print out and present' couldn't see any limitations, so decided to share. lol. Razz

I went to GF once, and the fabric there are sooo expensive. sad

Definitely not friendly on my wallet! ;D

Love Global Fabrics - thanks for the heads up.
@ Rolly: It's expensive because of the quality of the fabric. For example: It is one of only two places I have found so far that sell 100% linen fabric. :grin:

They sell it in different weights etc. Other places are cheaper because they have blended fabrics. Depending on the look and the way you want/need the fabric to move or if you need to dye it a specific way you may need a more natural fabric which chain stores often don't stock. It's like everything I guess; you get what you pay for =)

Global are more aimed at the fashion/wholesale market than anything else, and it's fairly high-end. But, they have some awesome basics; I get all my corsetry canvas from them, and they have some AMAZING sales!

Already bought mine a couple of weeks ago.

A different range of fabrics to spotlight/fabric vision.
Definately full price, but on a 50% off sale, is win.
Hence the only place I found a range of wools good enough for me, but cheap enough.

I have been in on a VIP one night sale before and got discount without being a VIP too.
