Toy Story 3 By Thornback. 09/07/10, 05:12 pm |
| Because I was APPALLED at the fact that a thread did not exist for this glorious film.
In the first three minutes, it made me laugh and feel like a carefree child again, rather than the cynical teenager I am. Any film that accomplishes that in any shape or form deserves a least a little of my respect. And then, over the next one hundred minutes, it repeatedly shattered my heart, painstakingly put it back together, and then broke it once more. At the end, it was as if a chapter of my life had closed, but although it was a bittersweet parting, I still had memories to treasure.
Pixar deserves a Medal for producing a threequel that doesnt suck, and stands on par with the two amazing original films, and have once again proven that the Toy Story Franchise has more imagination and heart in its little finger than several dozen computer animated films of the past decade.
It was flawlessly animated, cleverly scripted, suspenseful, hilarious and profoundly emotionally-affecting. Tracer, Icarus, Li bai and I were weeping when the credits rolled.
tl;dr:I really, REALLY enjoyed Toy Story 3. Your thoughts? EDIT:oh wait. There is a thread from like eight months ago. Oops. I blame the late hour and my lack of sleep. |

| It's okay. This is the new movie! AND PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU SAID. I bawled my eyes out during the end of this movie. OMG. My childhood. Also- the rating for this movie says that it has some scary scenes. How about sugar honey iced tea TERRIFYING?? |

Re: Toy Story 3 By Li-Bai. 10/07/10, 08:21 am |
| THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING IN SO MANY WAYS. Scripting, plotline, action, animation, voice acting etc. etc. EVERYTHING.
- Spoiler:
When the little green aliens got hit by the rubbish truck at the dump Unsuppressed gasp of complete and utter horror.
- Spoiler:
When they held hands in the Incinerator and especially the way Buzz was looking at Jessie after she said "What do we do?!" Complete breakdown into tears. ;A;
- Spoiler:
"THE CLAAAAAAW!!" and the EPIC RESCUE WITH THE LITTLE GREEN ALIENS Hysterical, relieved laughter, combined with more tears.
The ending - even more tears. I'm lol'ing at the fact this is the hardest I've ever cried in an movie ever. And an ANIMATED movie. xD (ETA: No wait, I think UP! was closely matched here. Maybe UP! for most times cried in and Toy Story 3 for hardest crying in. Pixar, you're doing it right!!)
Oh and [this] - PHYSICS HIGH OCTANE NIGHTMARE FUEL / UNLEADED STATION ATTENDANT. |

| Saw it today. Loved every minute of it. The opening alone was amazing and I couldn't help but cry by the end.
Buzz/Jessie is also love.
EDIT: Also, who loved the fact that Sid had a cameo? XD
And why has NO ONE mentioned Totoro having a cameo too? |

| @Keysha-when i saw it for the first time-and i wanna see it at least once more before it goes out of cinemas-i practically shouted out "TOTORO!" when he first appeared.
I only realised it was Sid in hindsight! his dead end job is clearly karma. |

| I love how Pixar always puts in Easter eggs in their films. Cried like hell at the ending which was quite embarrassing now that I think about it.. Me and Caddyl who are 17/18 sitting amongst 10 year old children and we're bawling our eyes out at the end. But interesting possible Easter egg about Boo! SO EXCITED for Monsters Inc 2! |

Re: Toy Story 3 By Le_Saboteur. 12/07/10, 10:59 am |
| I cried like a baby from the scene where Big Baby had his moment to the end. IT WAS HORRIBLE, TWENTY MINUTES OF STRAIGHT CRYING.
Oh christ, the incinerator scene. Fgjfgkjfgkjnfg.
I did cry harder at Up (that movie... ugh, I love it so much, but it is the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen), but this was a different, warmer, fuzzy kind of crying. Up was agony. |

Re: Toy Story 3 By Thornback. 12/07/10, 01:30 pm |
| The look on Buzz's face during that scene was what pushed me over the edge the first time i saw it-the look of despair and defeat was too much to bear, and reminded me far too much of the "I will go sailing no more" sequence from the first movie. |
