CCC Beginner Sewing lessons

So, I've had a few people say to me they would like to get some beginner sewing lessons and this week I am free to start them! (yet to see if the place I want to have them is free but shall know tomorrow~). Currently thinking these will be once a month so if you can't come don't fret~
At the moment I will only take up to 5 people. If other experiences sewers come along I don't mind increasing the limit~
(oh and also if there are other machines~)


Where: shall PM address to you~
When: Thursday 22n July
Time: 6-8pm ish~ (have dinner before or bring it with you)

I have some horrible material that I am willing to give to this cause but if you have any decent sized bits of material you would like to bring please feel free too~

For this first lesson I'm hoping to cover: Plain seams, hemming, how to use a pattern, how to follow a pattern.
If we have time I'll also go into gathering and zips~

Well this sounds good. Sounds a lot to cover in one session. But yeah knowing I am doing things the correct way is probably really important now.

I am so coming to this! I need to learn some of these things! nodnod I consider myself a beginner still, there's a lot I don't know and haven't made as well as need to learn.

I have found a pattern tutorial but I don't know how to read it, I can't buy the pattern from shops so yeah. stare I need some serious help with this, it's important! I need to learn stuff I don't know for my contest cosplay too. T_T

I need help or at the very least advice. pale nodnod

I think you misunderstand me. I'm not asking for help in making it, I plan to do all the work myself of course. Razz I just needed help understanding the pattern tutorial I found, I need to know how to draw/measure it out, that kind of thing.

If it helps, I need to use the same pattern for a non contest cosplay as well, so I can make that one instead, that way you won't be helping me with my contest cosplay. Razz

Why am I not on the list? I really need the help and I've been waiting for a sewing meet for ages now. sad
