[Dunedin] Dunedin Cosplay Club?

I'm totally keen for having a meet for when Seraphik is free. ^^ That's what my bday/48hour thing is for. 8D It'd be great to meet the 'Dunedin mod of fury'. xDDD

IcyRose is only free on a Sunday in the weekend, which is the 6th... I'm free whenever... noodles is good for the 5th...
What about everybody else who's reading/lurking? 8D
What's the day the majority of people are free on?

(PSST Seraphik! =O Do you think you'd be able to make it, or is Uni waaaay to hectic?)

I can do the 6th, as I normally work Saturdays and not Sundays. It's right after lectures finish, so I'll be a happy little Vegemite Very Happy

Sooo... We're settled on the 6th of June at the Botanical Gardens/Cafe's nearby?
Do we turn up in Cosplay, or regular clothes? If regular, I'll be the one with the Rikku stuck to my front and back so you see me. 8D

And it'd be great for the CCC to come down at some point! ^^

DCC+CCC=5xC. So many Cs. And also fun!
I'm not sure, but we should take the freezing cold weather of Dunedin into account as to whether we cosplay or not. I'm open to either but to avoid freezing I'd probably just closet cosplay anyway.

I was due to fly back to Invercargill, but since Monday is a public holiday I can stop over in Dunedin for this then bus back. My flight arrives just after 2pm- what time do you guys want to meet?

Yuncaaaa! I didn't forget about you!!! =O ( But really I did. ;_; )

Hmmm... Dunedin weather is so up and down.. I mean just today. Sunny as nothing else, and now, at only just 4:30, it's gotten REALLY dark.
I think that we could in cosplay, but only if we want. I only have Rikku, and that's barely any clothes, so if it's cold, I won't be. But that doesn't mean that other people can't cosplay if they have warm costumes. ^^

So. We have mostly the date and place. What about time? Some time before it gets too late in the afternoon, but not too late... Depends how long everybody wants to be in each others companies.. Meet up some time between 1 and 2? Not too early, then we can go as long as we like(within a reasonable time). Gives TinTango time to get to us after his flight, too. ^^

Opinions? Suggestions? Alterations?

Btw... Is Monday a public holiday? o.O LOL goes to show how up to date I am.. xD;;

Yes monday is a public holiday! Queen's birthday. (And I get the friday off too, heh heh heh)
Sometime around/after 2 would be good for me, though how long does it take to get from the airport to the gardens area? We wouldn't want to spend too long without everyone there.

It would take aywhere from half an hour to an hour to get from the airport to the gardens, according to my mumsy dearest. 3/4 of an hour, I'd say..

Can I suggest an anime exchange? I've got a boxed set of Season 1 of Code Geass if anyone wants to watch it. Will exchange for anything I haven't seen before. I can also bring my laptop and flashdrive if anyone wants to transfer stuff.

SO! It would seem that we're set for 6th June at 3pm at the Cafe's NEAR the Garden if it's raining, and the Cafe's AND the Garden if it's sunny. 8D

Lol that's why I said near. I wasn't sure which café. I'm not all that familiar with the café's anywhere in Dunedin... So I'm not sure.

I'm going to (quietly) suggest Crusty Corner. it's just across the road from the garden's front entrance, is open until 4.30pm usually and from what I remember their chocolate croissants are excellent and they're pretty cheap.
(things might have changed, it's been 5 years since I lived in north end :/)
But if someone wants somewhere else that's fine too ^^

edit; okay now i have a chance to catch up. I WILL DO MY BEST TO BE THERE AT 3. i suggest though maybe, make this meetup not in cosplay, and more of a everyone-getting-to-know-everyone sorta thing? i find that often with cosplay events, you never really get to interact with the people outside of costume & i think it'd be cool for us to just get together and hang out. ... plus it's really cold at the moment like rikku said, lmao. also crusty corner is still good! shouldn't be too crowded on a sunday.
