Ooookay. Leggings pattern is NOT working for us (me and Alex, that is). We're just gunna turn them into normal leggings and tuck our socks into the bottom of them. orz (for the record, that pattern works fine up until the point where it becomes feet.)

since we're doing our katamari heads tomorrow, does anyone know if we're still doing that skin thing for the faces? i'm not sure whether the shop here stocks that peach fabric stuff but i can always have a look.

Um... how would one go about preventing the heads from sagging? Stuffing it on the sides? xD

it shouldn't sag! 8D the mattress foam stuff is pretty stiff. but if you end up having trouble, i'd wire it on the inside.

Do we have to use the pattern JVCA provided? I am planning on using the bottom half of a pattern I already have (can't remember what pattern but I'll look it up sooon). Ive used it to make leggings many times and if people in chch want to use it I don't mind stetching a copy for them~

p.s is there any specific pattern for the body/dress/thing?

@Mandie: My pattern isn't great, so if you already have one that works, then go for it! Tomorrow or Saturday, I'll try post photos of me and Alex's leggings.

@jess; we used mattress toppers!

i'm nearly finished writing up the head tutorial-- but i'm a bit stuck as i haven't decided what to do for the head ends. since making something rounded seems incredibly difficult, i was thinking of just putting dinner plates on the end and leaving them flat... anyone else have any ideas?

Holy heck that looks amazing, guys! How thick were the mattress toppers? The same ones that Mischa linked earlier in the thread from the warehouse? :3

As for the ends - I know how we *could* pattern the foam to makes the ends curved, but, effort. Plastic dinner plates are fine by me - we could stuff a little stuffing in between the plates and the fleece if we wanted to curve it slightly more for minimal effort?

... THAT IS A BRILLIANT IDEA JESS. WE WILL GO WITH THAT. (the dinner plates/stuffing thing.) i was originally going to use salad bowls, but the circumference of the head is just too big-- we couldn't find anything big enough.

the mattress toppers were like um. 30mm thick if memory serves? we bought one from the warehouse (the one mischa linked) and it made two heads. so that's like $10-15 each. (:

I like the flat way, though, but anything to get them rounded is fine too.
