Braless support for larger breasts...
By Smeagi. 18/04/10, 04:14 pm |
| Ok, similar to the un-bra thread, but not quite...
For next years Welly'Geddon I'm in the process stages of a Vanille cosplay, however, I need to get something reasonably important sorted now. My boobs <3 I am a 10E bra/cup size, and I know from a past cosplay it is hell in a box going bra-less for even a day with boobs my size, but Vanille's top would look best without a bulky bra underneath (strapless or not). My question, does anyone have experience or know of a usefull product that could provide me with at least a bit of support, while being mostly invisable? I could be asking the impossible, I know. I have seen ads for ones that you stick to the top of your boob, that then stick to above your boob and hold it all up, but other than that I just don't know where to begin xD
I love my boobs, but sometimes I do envy cosplayers with smaller chest sizes xD |

| As a 12DD, I will be watching this thread avidly.
I've tried those sticky things you were talking about, though they didn't work AT ALL for me, so I don't know how well they'd work for you. A four to six pack is only $10 from... uhh, that Bras and Things shop (I think it's called), so it's not so much of a loss to give it a go.
Have you tried those lovely 'chicken fillet' things? That could work, if you could find one suitable for an E cup. |

| I have the same problem as you (I'm just a bit bigger though) I've found that when cosplaying a tight top putting on a tight singlet with built in support usually helps ^^ And most of the time it's easy to change the singlet to be hidden Hope that helped! |

| I'm not that big in the bust but for my Lilithmon cosplay I used Clear straps. I was surprised they didn't show in most photos and you can only see them close up.
Not the answer you are looking for but always makes for a good back up option~
All the best ^_^ _________________

Clear straps are a godsend! Only the most nitpicky of people will notice, and most girls will understand |

| Ah, those sticky bras really only work if you're below a D cup but that's just the main 'style' of them.
There is a few different styles I think. You could for a strapless bra? http://www.bras.co.nz/strapless-bras-c-15.html That really depends on how low you want to go at the back also you could always use body tape to stick the back of the top onto your bra so it doesn't show.
Am I making sense? |

| | I have yet to find a strapless bra that actually does something to hold them up. They work well for smaller boobs, but bigger ones... =/ |

| Wow, lots of like-problemed people xD Thanks for all the suggestions and experiences! It's all helpful
@ Le Saboteur ~I know Bras'n'Things, In Lower Hutt? Great store, I'll maybe go in and true some out next time I'm at the mall.
@ Olli ~ Hmm, food for thought, I hadn't considered that, I have one at home too.
@ Suixelo ~ Yeah, thats me experience as well. I've tried strapless once for a wedding and just found it cut agonisingly into my ribs >0<
@ Mandie chan ~ I had vaguely considered clear straps, but thought they would be too obvious, but if you say they're pretty missable I might put that on my To Try list ^w^
@ Eater ~ I suspected so about the stick things, that's why I thought it would be good to get some peoples experiences first before trying. I'll look a bit more into strapless', I've not had good experiences with them, but different bras sit differently...their just a bit price to keep buying xD
Thanks sooooo much everyone, I'm so glad I got such a response, there are so many options and I really want to weigh them all to see what works best! I'll have some experementing to do once I get the base pattern for the top made up, and see what look and feels best! I'll post back later on and let everyone know what does and doesn't work (on me at least) ^w^ !~ |

| I dunno, but I wore a strapless bra for my school ball last year. I have pretty small boobs, they're just on B and the strapless just kept sliding down. :/ I dunno if it's because I'm too skinny or what. XD
(Yes, I'm really skinny, blame my parents, my whole family are sticks XD) |

| | I'd recommend chicken fillets, I'm a C cup & can comfortably use the B cup, so maybe using a D would work for you if they don't have E? I'm not sure how well they work for larger breasts, but they're only $10 from Coin Saves so couldn't hurt to try. I can tell you how to make the most of them too when it come's to 'lifting' if you do get them~ :) |

| @ Rolly ~ Yeah xD Other than digging in, my strapless slipped down too, I'm hopeful I will be able to find a better option than one of those again.
@ Tails ~ Yeah, those and the sticky things seem to be reasonable priced, so once I come back into employment I'll be giving those both a try out, wear them around the house all day to test their effectiveness!
I'm off to bed now! I'll check back here tomorrow morning ^w^ Night all <3 |
