Keyblade holster :]
Post By Ravin. 07/04/10, 07:46 pm

I'm going to cosplay [Org.]Roxas and since I'm going to end up carrying a lot of other things (that probably won't even be mine...I'm everyone's bellboy) at Armageddon, AND because I'm taking my Kingdom Key to the Ball, I'm thinking of making a sort of holster for it, on my back. Something like...

Spoiler:

On the back of my right shoulder, for example, making it slung down or across my back. Thing is, I don't want the holster to be permanently attached to my costume - and neither do I want it totally out of place (i.e. making it out of the same pleather). Just wondering if anyone had any other ideas without altering the actual coat too much?

You're so incredibly helpful Tsunami, but I really think I'll need more than just that. X3

Let me reiterate: IN DETAIL could you PLEASE explain what to use and how to use it - i.e. how to attach to the pleather without making it permanent.

I have the same problem with my Rikku weapons. I finished them yesterday, now have to find a way to attach them to myself so I don't have to carry them around all day.
(I think Cloud and Zack and all use velcro >.> xD)
I'm thinking of getting a huge lob of velcro to attach to my belt or something, then stick to the weapons. But that would be heaps ugly. There's also the option of sewing something to the belt/costume that acts as a temporary hook for them to rest on. I'd assume you could do the same thing, with a few modifications so it was to hold a keyblade on your back.
Perhaps the leather(or something similar but easy to work with), but so it can be undone easily?

Sorry I can't be more help. I'm in the same boat. xD;;

Use a lot of blu-tac?
That failing, you always temporarily strap it to your back using, say, duck tape 8D

@Rikku: I'm assuming you mean her typical thief daggers? Do you have belt hoops in your shorts? Perhaps you could make another hoop that attaches with a button (like mine) that can loop around the hilt? (Within the handguard.)

Sorry, I just realised that hardly made any sense.

@Cacti: duct tape would probably show, since the hilt/shaft are kind of thin. But thanks for the idea. XD

Lololol blu-tac. xDDD
Duct tape would be heaps handy.. But as long as it didn't completely ruin the paintwork when you take it off. =/ Or you could use duct tape that is the same colour are the paint, so it blends..
Nevermind, then. xD

@ Ravin: Lol yus, her daggers. x3 They're mucho oversized, but look fine.
I don't think the skirt has belt hoops(am borrowing a skirt off a friend), hence why I was thinking of doing stuff to the belt. But tis not about meeee! This is your thread! xD

What about something like what they use on a cops belt where the baton is held. Except the belt would go around you kinda like a one strap bag. It would go over one shoulder then diagonal over your back. If you get me. You could just adapted the idea of a strap on a belt. You'd have to figure out a way to make the belt unseen if you wanted it hidden.
This way the belt is not attached to the costume and the keyblade can come out of the strap.

What kind of bag will you be carrying? If its a shoulder bag, you could attach the holder to that, without doing any damage to your costume.

I dunno...why can we all just have magnets on our backs like Cloud and Zack?
