Echi = I think fanservice. Any fanservice. Eg. A character offf an anime walks into a shop. The shop and shopkeeper are from another anime. Talking of fanservice, mainly in the bad sense = MY HiME. Funny, cute, nice characters, action galore, several conspiracies, what more can you want? But how more blatant can you get with the fanservice! Understand the Lotita community does not go in for bad fanservice ever. Of course the whole Cosplay scene itself could be viewed as fanservice.

I have seen the first DVD. Loved it. I think every body will either love or hate the series rather quickly. I now have the whole series so will have to watch it sometime. Awesome.

I thought elfen lied was really good. Romantic Horror/sci-fiction reminds me of Vampire Knight. I thought Lucy was best by far i think in the last ep lucy comes back doesnt she?

Yeah, I think she does come back...

and in the last one that little girl dies, the one in the wheel chair. Her dad(?) kills himself and her together... what her name? Shes cute... but so evil !!!! Haha !

I first saw it a few years ago, and basically creamed my panties, need I say moar?
Saw the boxset a year later, bought it, and then my ex stole it. ;[
I was concidering ripping his nuts off..But I never got round to it...
Times like that, that I wish I had invisible vectors that could rip body parts to shreds in a blink of an eye...

There are the likes of comic party, which is show based on fans! Sitting on my shelf waiting for me to watch it.

I love this series
I own the box set and I could watch it over and over
for me it shows a all to true reality as to what people will do to other people they dont understand or deem 'unsafe'
If something is to powerful they feel threatened
if its weird and unusal and they dont understand it they feel threatened
they capture it, and study it with no regard to the creatures well being... only with their quest to futher then knowlege and how to control it

I love this series and Its very beautifuly done
the start is amazing and I've even taken parts of it as a study for my polytech final this term

I even used this series to change someones perception of anime, she thoguht it was all sailor moon and pokemon with long stills of no movement or expresion and bad story lines
but after lending her the series she loves it!
infact I still havnt gotten it back xDDD
gotta bug her about that one lol

yeah If we had things like that in our real world the government and stuff would be lockin them up left and right and people would prtest the unethical treatment and the officials would try and justfiy it by saying they are threats to scocity and they could hurt people and blah blah blah when in reality they are just like everyone else... they just have invisible hands that can cut you into a million peices ^_^
but that doesnt ment they are gonna hurt people with them!
they could use them in the police force to catch people with out hruting them.
they could become butchers oooor builders or anyhting they wanted!
beccause nothing says just because they have this abilty doesnt mean they have to or will use it at all.
its humanitys own fear and over reaction to things they dont know and understand and fear breeds hate which in the end is what happens because of the deaths these creatures cased.
again the deaths they caused as a baby wernt their fault, surely by the time they are old enough to use those arms in anyway you would have realised 'hey..tehres horns' and gotten that looked at in which case the government would know about the baby since they are nosey and like to check everything.
soooo to stop the baby or child killing people while they have no awarness of the sence of right and wrong I do think putting them in a secure inviroment is best, for theirs and other peoples protection.
which in there the child should have been taught right from wrong and how best to use and control their abilty.
after that they could be evaluated if tehres concerns about behaviour and mental stabilty and such.
otehr then that after they have lernt control they should be allowed to go out into the world and do what they want in life.
Life should not be taken from thoes who we lock up just because we dont understand them.
oh! and while they are locked up they should be allowed family access of course and humans rights such aas bathrooms aaaand like toys and stuff ^_^ and food! and not be be beaten and bleeding all the time ^_^

I agree. If people hadnt picked on Lucy(Ryuu) then she wouldnt have gone mad. I think the only reason they go on a muderous rampage is because people force them to be lonely and thats why they listen to their otherselves. you know, with bandages. They didnt ask for those horns or arms and those people treated them like a different species. its like racism but with ears oO.

Elfen lied was i think the 5th anime i watched..
my friend gave me a rip of the 1st 4 eps..
i was watching them at home alone..
i watched the 1st ep i was like O_O
then the into for 2nd ep started and..
i didnt hear me mother comehome..
she walked in on the intro and said"i didnt kow you were into that sort of stuff.. are you okay? i think you should turn that off.. it will have bad effects on you..
i was like OMFG BUSTED i then secretly screened the seris at 1 am on me pc .. when noone else was around .
