Helluu!!! (and help please!)

Hi people, i'm new here :)

I am a fan of anime and manga (love fushigi yuugi, evangalion and twelve kingdoms) and want to take the fandom further and get into cosplay lol.

I like to draw, and am learning how to sew. Learning to sew is difficult, but it is something i want to get better at so i can make lots of costumes for me and my friends.

This year i would like to finally do my own cosplay for Auckland geddon but i am having trouble finding the right fabric for my costume. I tried to make a post in the costume help part of the forum but the forums wont let me post there yet.

the fabric I need is vinyl that stretches in all directions (think that's called 4-way stretch?) which is black but is not shiny. All the material i have seen in stores is uber wet looking shiny and i need something that is dull. if anyone knows about any stores in or around Auckland that sells this that will be cool. i'd rather not order material off the internet unless i cant find the material in nz.

Yay, thanks for the welcome people :)

The costume is mostly a bodysuit with some extra pieces over the top but i dont want to say what costume it is in case i cant do it.

Ive looked in every local material store around and cant find anything. I maybe could do the costume in shiny pvc (which there is loads of in shops) but i dont want it looking like a fetish cosplay lol

...good luck with the material you can try get a less shiny pvc, but keep trying im sure youll find something ideal!
