Hatsune Miku's boots/shoes and head set

Allllrighty, so the last thing that needs sorting for this cosplay is her shoes or boots and the head set.

Spoiler:

For her shoes I can't really decide how to go about them. Weather I go for full boot covers, which I'm not so keen on, or loafers with thigh high tights, which is how she's sometimes depicted, or just some black shoe, someone get the sole that nice blue and thigh high tights. Avoiding full boots like the plauge as I'm currently figureing out BLACK ROCK SHOOTERS boots with my first-time-making-boot-covers skillz.

As for the head set, making it and getting the base/shape is all goods. Heck, I can get them to light up easy enough. It's finishing them that's bothering me. I'm not sure what to cover the base with, be it just paint, or something else, to make them look nice and finished.

Oh yes, and those weird square head...piece things. I don't even. Again, less about making them, that's easy enough, but how does one keep them on her head?

Any ideas, oh wonderful cosplayers of NZ?

Personally, I'd use shoes with bottoms painted blue and thigh high tights. As long as you'd have no trouble finding the right colour ribbons/paint.

Aargh I know bookmarked a similar thread full of tips somewhere on cosplay.com but i can't find it now. But i I remember someone saying that for the square hairpieces you could get small yogurt or icecream containers and cutting them up if you wanted rounded corners.

since im also gna cosplay miku (lol so many mikus) i jst getting high high blackish/greyish boots then like pining/sticking ribbon onto it XD sounds newbie ish i know but i guess thats the only way im gna actually be able to get it right? well gud luck to u miku buddy~

But you'd probably wanna sew/neatly fabric glue the ribbon on.

As for the shoes, that could be trickier. you'd probably want to go for ones like these: HERE that'd blend with the tights. Oh, and use super opaque tights. Miku's knees must remain... faceless.

the main thing is those are SOOOOOOOOOOO cruddy looking XD jst tbh u know...but yesh i did see those and my mum began her rant bout how im wasting money for something like that and blah blah how i cud get better stuff -- so i didnt bother XD but yush glueing/sewing is gna be hard o.o;

I meant not with the cruddy painting, as in shoes that are smooth and like boots, but really low cut.

oooh I say go for shoes and stockings. atm I'm still thinking about wether or not I should do boots for meiko or shoes and stockings. But I already have boots :B

but the only thing about shoes and stockings is that sometime they turn out kinda mehhh also usually shoes and stockings u cant really find stuff that could go together like PERFECTLY (perfectionist fetish comming up here) or else it really jst looks shaghdeuihagoei

so yeah lololol but then again doing shoes and stockings would be easier?

lol, i'm planning on being Miku too XD 3 of us can be Miku triplets! 8D

For the boots, i'm just gonna paint the soles blue on a pair of black shoes and wear high knee socks~
As for the headphones, I haven't a clue ._.
