Scott Pilgrim the Movie

You guys probably already know this but Scott Pilgrim vs the Universe is now a live action movie. It's currently in post production

"I just wanted to take a second to rave about it coz I love the Scott Pilgrim comic and I think they picked a good cast for the movie. I think it'll be a fun watch

I've read the entire series so far and loved it but I haven't seen the books for sale anywhere in Wellington sad

I quite enjoy the comic, but I'll admit I'm a little :/ about Michael Cera. I hope he isn't just himself. I'm kinda sick of the guy.

@Butterfly Edge, if you have a big Whitcoulls there that sells comics, you might be able to find it. I'm fairly sure I've seen a few issues in the massive up here on Queen St.

Okay, finally saw the trailer. It looks freakin' great, I have to say. They captured the tone of the comics so well!

Big fan of O'Malley. Big fan of Edgar Wright. Big fan of the trailer because it looks like epicness in film.

It took me 4 watches of the trailer to see that at around the 1:28 mark whoever he hits turns into coins, I loved that in the comic. THAT IS WHY THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE GOOD PEOPLE.

^Um, theres only 1.23s in the iTunes trailer. Lucas Lee (played by Chris Evans) was too fast for a proper landing on his skateboard so he poofed inta coins. (vol.2) Also when he double-knee'd the twins in mid air in volume 5 they poofed into coins. UNLESS UR TALKIN BOUT A NEW TRAILER GIMME

Its the same trailer, just with a green preview screen. Who hes hitting at 1.28 is probably one of the twins or Gideon.

WELL, I CAN'T NOW. I can't think of any actors around the same age at all. How old is Scott meant to be, 23? Cera still looks like a kid, and he's almost a little too soft spoken for how I imagined Scott... but he's a funny enough guy, and he certainly does sincerity well, so hey. I'll get used to it.

I just looked through all the actors, and I must say they've picked some pretty good ones!

To be fair, it's likely that's all any one has wanted him for. They saw him in Juno or Superbad and went LOOK! A SHY AWKWARD TEEN, WE NEED THAT.
