| Finally accumulated all neccesary fabric! top half of White mage is finished, and I'll be working on the bottom tomorrow....I should really, really get started on Fuuka and the Undertaker tootsweet. I may make his Sash tomorrow....would help if I hadn't agreed to make flying monkey wings for a Wizard of Oz outing next week. |

Re: General Progress By Guest. 15/02/10, 12:10 am |
| Last night when I had the chance to use the sewing machine, I did quite alot. I sewed part of my white shirt for my Haruhi uniform, sewed the sailor collar, and nearly finished my persona blazer, which I have been putting off for ages. All I need to do now is add a sleeve and the strap at the top, finish the headset, and make the undershirt/neck piece.
For haruhi I need to add a zip and sleeves to the shirt and hem it up, make her headband, sew on the bias and make the skirt and then that's done.
I haven't started on meiko, I've done a mock-up of sorts, but I'm changing to PVC so once I buy it online and recieve it I can probably finish it very quickly.

| @Icarus - Stunning! the extra effort really shows. Be prepared for the onslaught of people asking you to make wedding dresses!
(When I was your age I was struggling with kwik-sew fleecy pj pants, making a satin beaded gown is seriously impressive!)
@ Seraphik that looks wonderful! I love the sweetheart neckline!

.... I do not think this is going to work. I suppose if I want to change cosplays I better do it now, huh. >___> But I think I may be stuck-stuck-stuck-stuck. I may have something in mind for another cosplay but, uh being 'in character' will be hard. Contest worthy? OTL |

Oh, yeah I know haha. I'm only sewing on one sleeve until I buy the zip. Thanks for worrying about me/my cosplay. heh.

| Painted some more purple on my Sakura dress~
to cover up a tiny drip I made...heh... Am also paper mache-ing my headphones. It takes so long to dry--- I'm going to attempt to cover it with craft foam once I'm done, and see how that looks.
Even if I just selotape it on to test it >__> |

Re: General Progress By JVCA. 16/02/10, 12:51 pm |
| Progress photos~!
Flonne jacket is now complete:
- Spoiler:
The only thing I might do to change it (other than add the wings) is lace the shoulder bits slightly tighter so that the shoulder ribbons don't bulge as much when you raise the arm (as you can kinda see in the right hand photos). (Ref pic here, for those who've forgotten/not seen it: https://i.servimg.com/u/f13/13/83/14/81/crosse10.jpg )
Started my Hachi skirt too:
- Spoiler:
I have the lining cut out too, but I haven't sewn that together yet. From here, it's sewing the lining, then sandwiching the trim (which you can me holding up in the photo) between the top layer and the lining, then making and attaching the waistband and it'll be done! (Seeing as you can't see the skirt in my signature, here's the ref pic: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/280867 ) I may or may not make the skirt a bit shorter though, I'm not sure... |

Re: General Progress By Static. 17/02/10, 01:50 am |
| .....and this is why we try on corsets BEFORE we sew the boning channels.....
- Spoiler:
Argh. Also, this style of corset is REALLY HARD to lace yourself into! I couldn't adjust the lacing at shoulderblade height at all! Off to unpick the channels and re-cut the bust panels...DAMMIT. |
