Oh Icarus those wings are gorgeous! If you're really worried about them, have them sitting on your lap on a pillow on the way there? Or are they too big? How are you getting there?

Thanks Tails~ I don't know, the bus seems dangerous (for the wings that is lol)
I might beg Mum to take me down, so sitting on lap sounds good~
but I think I'll have to take the bus back, break them up after the comp..? 8D;;

If you're taking them by bus, I'd put them in a box surrounded by foam (like light pillow foam) & hold it in place with that bendy plastic wire stuff that holds toys in place n stuff. Maybe put a sticker on the box too that says 'fragile' & 'this way up'. That's what I was going to do if I bussed to 'geddon~

No worries :) The hardest part was getting to 'geddon with the wings (& horns) on, I had to shimme in the back of a taxi van & hold on for dear life! Good times. General Progress - Page 21 Icon_razz

If you have someone there with you, they can tell you if you're about to hit a wall with them (that's what I did with my wings). As long as you're careful, they're probably more hardy than you think Very Happy

@Icraus: Wow it's soo pretty and reminds me of my unfinished helmet for onion knight...I've used like a bazillion feathers to make the featherly things on his helmet. But I haven't finished yet. Almost finished the sword though. looking good for wellygeddon ^-^

@tails: I'm staying at downtown backpackers~ the closes and cheapest place I could find lol~ (will be interesting to roller skate to the arena in a wedding dress 8D )

@Rowan: Thanks~ the frame is made from.... some thick-ish wire Dad found in the garage LOL then covered with white polar fleece, I should've used netting or something so I could actually poke the feathers into it *facepalm*

The jacket's nearly finished now - I just need to hem the sleeves, and do the lace-y-uppy bit for the shoulders and it's done! (Oh, and make the bow, and the wings, but I kind of count them as separate...)

Caterpillar Progress! Hat Still needs a few stitches, but armwear is complete, as is necktie, and pants are half finished.

I've counted about 15 different fabrics so far...and I'm barely over halfway.

Made alterations and hemmed the bottom of the shirt last night - now it has points and a split on the back ohohoh. Still sewing ribbon onto the edges though.
