Same as the Christchurch one - a list of places to buy supplies for your cosplay needs - only, in Auckland. Very Happy These are just places I've been to and can recommend, so feel free to post additions to the list, and I'll add them. Very Happy These are arranged by category, then Alphabetical Order. :)

I'm not in Auckland, but try a general hardware store for some dowel, it's round and it comes in a range of thicknesses and lengths, about 1m of 10mm (1cm) thickness cost me $5 from a bunnings down here in CHCH

This is where I cry because I'm a good hour or two from these places, and I'm still classed as Auckland.

Ike's Emporium in Orewa is amazing for material/lace/ribbon/buttons/etcetc.

And I get everything else online so not much help here, sorry ^^;
Local op shops are the best for random material hunting, old patterns, and cheap editable clothes.

There's an Ikes in Orewa? Ooo, something close to me XD.
I normally use the Emporium across the road from the movies in wairau park (Soz, can't remember the name). Also, I try use Vagabonds for my prop equipment (Look them up in the phonebook if you want to find them) Strickly speeking, they are a model/gamers shop, but you can buy good quality stuff there for making props if you look.
Thoug i havent been cosplaying for long, so don't take my word for it sweatdrop
