Yeah... of all the movies the Vatican had to comment on, they chose this one?
Maybe we should talk to a movie critic when we're having a spiritual crisis.

Anyway, you guys should check out this awesome article about one of the costume creators.

Pretty inspirational stuff don't you reckon? This too could be you!

Shouldn't they like it ? Isn't the movie about protecting the planet and not destroying nature ? IE- Gods Planet and Creation ?

:/

Just saw it. OMG, so beyond beautiful.
He has probably broken cinema, because everything henceforth will have to live up to this.

However, I stopped taking the plot seriously at the word

I'm sorry WHAT?

I first heard that word in the movie The Core and hated it. I ended up hating the core too after I'd watched it.

When I saw Avatar, I just thought "Aww, it all looks normal." And that's when I realised it was all CGI and therefore the fact it looked normal was amazing.

Seeing it tomorrow...IN 3-D!

I just heard my dad read a snippet of a review-"Profound and profoundly silly."

I can live with that. I just really wanna see it for the visuals.

I saw it again (taking my brother) in 2D, and it was pretty much as good. I mentioned the fact that the 3D glasses do not go over regular glasses very well, and subsequently you loose a degree of the 3D effect. The tradeoff for me between 3D and 2D is trading that effect for the ability to actually see the intricate detail rather than spending time trying to refocus the image.

So yes, very nice.

I preferred it the second time. I zoned out when I knew there would be stretches of bad Dialogue/Monologue, and just ogled the pretty blue people.

This movie was fantastic, though there was alot of good qualities, the story line reminded me of an old kids movie called Fern Gully.
Spoiler:

It reminded me of that but it was alot more exciting and breath taking. ^^

Not to see it in 3.D!!

I was so excited to go see it yesterday heheh even though I had already seen it, and I want to go again too.
My cinema keeps selling out of tickets so we had to buy our tickets a couple of days ago.
I dont know if its the different seating, or the different cinema but the 3D was better this time around!
I'm curious to know what IMAX3D would be like D=

While the plot is all predictable (don't know if this has been posted yet =P) its still told well imo, and its so pretty *o*

Heheh, I totally missed that the first time I watched it and was reading about peoples complaints about it on a forum later. Someone said James should have just called it Cameronite.
lol.

Anyway amazing movie

It is apparently high in the charts for best movie, Titanic was first but I think it might even pass that. O:

Oh, it will. And then my ancient Titanic Vid with "The most popular motion picture of all time" in the blurb will be sadly redundant.

lol Unobtanium is somewhat of a joke... Just read the Wikipedia article on it ;3

I don't think anyone has written anything here about the double Golden Globe win yet? 8D I cannot wait until the Oscars! Even though James Cameron's ego could do with a let down, he's still amazing.

~ Shudders~ was scared of that movie when was younger, because of the bad guy Toxic Love..

Can't remember if that was the actual name of the villain or the name of the song that he sung..

BUT watched that movie again for history class when was fourteen and was still a little crept out xDD

Still haven't seen Avatar yet, but if see a ounce of smog will be jumping under the cinema seats..

In a few days at most(unadjusted for inflation), Avatar will be the highest grossing motion picture of all time.

That seems a little surreal.
