Dead Master - Horns, wings and scythe
Post By HaveLight. 11/11/09, 02:23 pm

Hey~
I want to cosplay Dead Master from Black*Rock Shooter next year
And I'm only really understand how to use paper mache but I know it doesnt last as long
The items I want to make are the horns, wings and scythe
and I was wondering if there is something thats light but strong enough that I can make these out of?
(scythe can be abit heavy more horns and wings) :3

Picture~

Spoiler:

Thanks~<3

Yes~! Dead Master, you're going to be epic! ^^ You will have many fans amoung the munchkins! C:

Hmm. The wings, I think, you should make the shape out of wire and then cover with fabric? It'd last longer and still be light. The only thing you'd have to worry about is the wire bending, but you could always bend it back into place.

As for the horns, I can really only think of paper mache. Sorry. D:

The scythe looks pretty hard, and I don't really have any experiance with that sort of stuff. Sorry. ><

Hope I helped, even just a little?

Scythe tutorial - for Marluxia (KH:CoM) It's of a similar build.
Horn tutorial - cheap materials

Wings would be super cute if you had wire and stuffed them with wool or something. Plushie wings = <3

I LOVE that scythe. After you cosplay with it I'ma pinch it, kay?

Cactiberry made a Mukuro staff for Moli for Armageddon this year~
I could ask her how she made it
but I think it was made of paper mache...
and one of the sharp proddy things broke around midday...
I guess you're better off making one of wood if you plan to reuse the staff~

for the actual pole part of the weapon use a broomstick, just get the bristle part off.

then you can paint it ^^

Why don't you try the horns out of craft foam?

Yay! Black Rock Shooter Buddy!

On-topic: Yeah, craft foam would work for the wings too.

There's a tutorial here if you want:
