Metallica on cello? Probably Apocalyptica. I bought one of their albums when I was in Germany a few years back, their original stuff is pretty amazing too. They also did an AWESOME rendition of Hall of the Mountain King. It is awesome.

Jose Gonsalez is a great musician for covers - unfortunately his original stuff is crap...but his covers of Teardrop and (naturally) Heartbeats are gorgeous.
