I have no idea how to make the crescent moon wand.
Can anyone give me tips/advice on how to make it?

Dowel for the stick part at least - the top you could make out of papier mache, maybe? And scuply for the little bits? I'm not sure... o_O

I'd say a light weight plastic pipe for the handle, scupty or some sort of clay for the accents like the gem and the part around it and then maybe paper mache around the entire handle to keep everything together. For the moon maybe try and find one out of styrofoam (you'll probaby have to cut it down to size but atleast you'll have the shape to start out with). Again paper mache everything to bond it all together and then paint with watered down acrylic to get a smooth finish (or even spray paint but that could get messy). I would also recommend using modpodge to seal the paint (you can get it from spotlight in either shiny or matte).

All of this is what I'm thinking about doing for my Cardcaptors star wand when I get around to making it, it's also taken from various ideas from the cosplay.com Sailor thread. If you need any more help let me know.
