Harry Potter and the half blood prince By RainbowMoonDust. 19/07/09, 11:41 am |
| Contains spoilers ... obviously ... So who else has seen this? I went and saw it yesterday. Not so much because I'm a fan of HP I was for the first few movies but kind of lost interest more like a Snape fan! Thoughts on the movie?
Myself, I thought it could have been more action orientated and it seemed much like the other movies in some ways with similar themes etc. Interesting fact about Voldemort though, no wonder they can't kill him after all this time! Man he was an evil, creepy kid! What a surprise about Snape being the half blood prince! Although really it was so obvious with the book containing perfect potion spells and all, why I did not click I do not know! Still a Snape fan and I don't think he wanted to Kill Dumbledore, didn't Dumbledore ask him to do it? He faked his death didn't he? I remember reading some of the book but I don't remember all of it. HP is as annoying as ever and why does Draco fail so badly? Well anyway I will continue reading/watching if just for the Snape love Alan Rickman Ftw! |

| Saw it on Friday and had mixed feelings. Haven't read the book in aaaaages, so i didn't go in with it fresh in my head. I thought it was alright. Thought Dumbledore didn't act enough while drinking the potion. It's supposed to HURT HIM. Looked like it only phased him till it was done and then he sorta got up, brushed off his robe and was like 'well, that was fun.' Am skimming HBP now, and have just realized how much they left out. No Phlem love </3 And other things. HP/GW kiss scene messed up, etc. Lavender was good though. Made me giggle. Snape was goood in this, though i think more needed to be done with the whole Draco/Snape interaction and stuff. Slug Club made me lol. Poor Belby though =( Thinking of hiiiimmm. Poor kid. All in all, i say not bad. They did most scenes they did include pretty well done. Just wish they added more. Would have been fun to see the Gaunts and more of the Horcrux's. Ah well. Let's see what they do next =) |

| It was alright. I don't like how they keep cutting out the house elves though... And what was with Harry hitting on the waitress at the start?? |

| Watched it yesterday, it was alright for a two and a half hour movie. Wished they add more funny parts instead of adding some that wasn't even in the book. |

| I haven't reread the book at all, so I'm mostly blank on the stuff they did miss out except they skipped out on a lot of Voldie's back story and the conversation at the end didn't take place in front of Dumbledore's memorial. Did end up laughing at all the goofy moments though (especially the Luck potion) and how much they hammed up the Harry/Hermione scenes. But the whole movie was a non-event for me. The music was great though. |

| Well... I read the book/loved it and thought the movie was really good, compared to the goblet of fire one (D:<) EXCEPT they cut out the epic death eater VS Hogwarts teachers/students scene. ...Anyone noticed that EVERYONE in the movie hooked up with someone? ...Mostly everyone, Dumbledore gets no love. YOU COULD FEEL THE LOVE BETWEEN MCGONA-WHATEVER AND SNAPE THOUGH |D Draco gets no one/thing. D: Except his millions of fangirls. Loved Bellatrix. You could tell she was having a good 'ol time, prancing around and setting fire to things. Favourite part - The bit about...That girl who has a crush on harry..can't remember her name..Ramilda..something? Vain? I dunno, but it was hilarious. 'She only likes you because you're the 'chosen one'!' 'Well...I AM the chosen one...' OH THE LULZ. ... Okay, pointless post is ended~ |

Though I did love Luna Luna is the awesomeness >w<
I thought.. they strayed waaay too far from the book. I mean, disregarding the book, it was.. decent.
- Spoiler:
Malfoy: I-I don't need protection! Snape: *has him pinned up against the wall after the Christmas party*
That makes me lol every time I think of it ;D *shot*

| As a far-too-obsessed Harry Potter fan, I went in expecting it to be completely sugar honey iced tea, and was pleasantly surprised. :)
Luna was amazing, and the rest of the characters weren't too bad. Harry was so awesome when he was on the felix potion
I thought the movie was a bit 'busy', though. It went from scene about major plot point A to scene about major plot point B, etc. There wasn't really enough down time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.. |

| i went and saw it on Wednesday 'cause i had free tickets.
i thought it was really dark/scary, considering how the other movies have been! o-o i quite liked it though. but i think having read the book might have helped me understand some of the bigger timeskips. >.< |

| read it watched it regretted it
movie is seriously boring ... was checking the time every 10 min
was disappointed they didnt do the last battle at the school it would of made the movie more worthile but meh XP whatever
and emma watson is hot
its the sole reason why i watched the movies in the first place 8D
and luna is really cute <333
and lavender brown ... so freaking annoying oh god *wanted to kill her throughout the movie* also i know this is really mean ... but they could of gotten a prettier actress for her ... seriously ...
*was left with the vague impression of bag lady in the making* |
