Dear You! Please Read!
Post By Riven_. 10/08/09, 04:11 am

Yo! Anne here, your friendly CCC vice-leader-captain-person here~

Dear you!

Recently you may have noticed that we've been having lots of Cosplay events a month- like every week. Angie and I think its great that you're all getting really into cosplay (which is what we're all about really~) and we're pleased to see the cosplayers in CHCH getting along well and having great ideas about cosplay!

However we've had some people asking if maybe we could not have quite so many big events each month, as they're getting stressed with the ammount of cosplays they're working on and the little ammount of time they're getting to work on them. We think this is fair enough as there's no point having cosplay get togethers if it the cosplayers are getting deterred by it all.

So what we'd like to try for a bit, to see if it works, is to have only one super-special-awesome biggish cosplay event a month.

There's going to be a suggestions/ideas discussion thread so that if you've got a great idea where you can suggest ideas for awesome parties and days out and all sorts of other things that you think would be cool if us cosplayers here in Christchurch took part it.
It's just that if everyone is suggeting/planning ideas without reference to when others are planning things, life gets a little hectic. ^^

And you'd definitely be in charge of organising the event you came up with! There'll be someone to help with organising and stuff so don't worry about that~ You guys encouraged to still help our with the organising of each event, decorations, music, whatever else you can think of!

We'll also make sure that the calendar is up to date, so that you can see what we have planned when, and also suggest what dates are good/not-so-good for you.

Events like sewing meets/other get-togethers are still fine to be organised in the CCC forum, but the once-a-month CCC event will be in our new Club -Monthly Events subforum here

To help with all these shiny new things, Amanda (mandie_chan) and Shawnee (lintuwolfwiing) will be made CCC-mods to help keep all this up to date so that you guys have correct info to work with! ^^

If you have any questions this is the place to ask them, 'cause the odds are that I've forgotten something so... yeah. ASK AWAY, MUFFINS~

so stuff like anime nights/game nights are still alright, yes?
'cause it's not SUPER AWESOME COSPLAY EXTREEEEMEEE ~
and for the most part, costume is optional anyway. (:

other than that, i like this idea.
cosplaying can get expensive.

Costume is always optional and people should remeber they don't always need to be in new costume! Old is also familiar and you don't need to worry about getting it dirty or damaged~! (if it already is >_>)

However I agree with no more than 1 big event a month, but choking the smaller events because some people didn't have a fresh new cosplay would just be silly!

^_^ bring on the games nights!

are they going to have red titles for the 'official' event of the month?

Now that the main events have been moved to the other subforum I'm worried people will miss them!
