There was a thread a while ago, where i posted pics. Still not sure who had more, the girl who started it or me? Some people out there blow me away though.

But lets say my computer says I have 595 items. One item is one disc, or boxset, or fatpack, etc. Not all anime. Have seven seasons of stargate. Um, and that includes so may boxsets too. So hundreds? Jumped at Midsummer-snow's offer to swap a boxset for a fatpack, cause I have no room. I have like five bookshelves/DVD racks or parts thereof, plus two more with no anime.

Manga, about 45-50 roughly?

Plus comics, like ? maybe 200. (No blastosaurus fred despite being asked to by them several times! But some of his others.)

Had like 3 figures, got a fraggle, plus a random box, of like 50? to sort through now.

Plus the sets and discs I am selling.

Co-incidentally I am nearly broke, and have to save up for Auck, so stopped buying almost.

Most of the shows I LIKE will never get licensed in NZ. Like ARIA, but then I imported the R1s so its all fine. I'll never live to see the day when LoGH gets an official english license, and goodness knows when Ga Rei will swing by.

^ugh this
I have quite an extensive list of 'things to buy once/if they get licensed'

Though what is very irritating is when they are licensed, but just not by a Region 4 company *coughmadmancough*
I really--- want to buy Mirage of Blaze. But we don't have a multi zone DVD player. Sob.

I am building up a collection of Anime Laserdiscs. I buy most of them on EBay.

Laserdisc is a video format that was popular before DVD came along. It uses a large disc that looks like a CD but is about 30cm across. They can hold up to 1 hour of video on each side.

Most of Anime my Laserdiscs...
Spoiler:
I have some Manga and Anime on DVD too...

Laserdiscs are / were most popular Japan and other NTSC countries like the US.
There were not very many PAL discs or players produced, so PAL countries (like us) missed out.

Yeah I bought a cheap slimline mutizone for $50 on trademe. Made sure it was local, so I had a place to return it if it was junk. But it had everything. VGA out for projectors, even HDMI, almost all audio or video jacks, and reads VCD, DivX, WMA, etc.

I know $50 is a bit for some people. But in the context of buying anime, it's reasonably cheap. Now I know at least one trader with an R1 collection. Which I will buy some of once I am over Geddon and Christmas.
