Looking good! C: Just wondering - is there any way to reduce the file size? 3.9mb takes a wee while to load. I just Saved As PDF (Optimised) in Adobe Acrobat Pro and it dropped the file size down to 1.5mb - and that's still with image quality set to high. Given that you're going for web distribution with this version, such a minor loss of quality won't be visible on screen. Anyone who wants a professional print version could just email you guys, right? Wink

Professional print, maybe for a display stand. But not for printing out to give to someone who is going to read it maybe twice before binning it? I think if we can compress it with minimal loss of quality go for it.

I need to clean up the side project I am working on and email JP, JVCA, ChCh Mods and MDB quickly. And without getting further behind on my cosplay. And email certain others too.

But one question, is there going to be a SPCC stall at ChCh/Welly Geddon?

Not at Chch or Welly, but we are working on Auckland :) Good point on the filesize - will look at reducing it.

Edit: Bingo! Got a 700KB version, will get it online asap :) And um. I just realised I didn't actually get permission from people with their photos...IF YOU ARE IN THE BOOKLET AND DO NOT WANT TO BE PLEASE TELL ME ;___;

Hoorah! 700KB is a damn good file size for a booklet of that level of pretty, imo. Very Happy And uh, I vaguely remember seeing my photo in there (correct me if I'm wrong lol) and I'm fine with you using it. Very Happy

Now accepting memberships for the '10/'11 financial year! Buy your membership now, and it will cost you $20 from NOW until March 31st, 2011.

We would also like to say THANK YOU to those members who came on board early and supported us - all existing members will get their membership renewed at $15 instead of $20. You will need to file a membership renewal form, but otherwise your memberships may continue unbroken :) As long as you pay ;D

Just filled out my renewal form now - I hope I did it right! I still have $15 credit from when I paid for my quarter membership, so can I just use that to cover my year of membership? :)

OK, Latest Update - the SPCC Mailing list is now active. It's an announcements list for us to keep you all up to date with the happenings.

All existing members have been entered, but will still need to click the confirmation link you receive in your email.

The list is an open list for members and non-members alike interested in keeping up with what the SPCC is doing. There may be a separate members only list created at a later date, but right now we want to target as wide an audience as possible. :)

Join at: http://www.cosplay.org.nz :)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Since it's 1st of April today, we're now into the next membership term.
Existing members who haven't already renewed - membership finished 31st March.
If you've already renewed - thank you - you're awesome. :)
If you haven't yet, or wish to become a member, please visit the website and fill in either a renewal form, or a new members form, transferring money as appropriate.

We prefer bank transfers, but if you can't do that I should have the receipt book on me for cash payments if anyone wants to over geddon weekend.

Also a reminder - as earlier offered existing members may renew for $15 as a thank you for your early joining of the society.

Curious, when we renew our membership, can we also ask to change the photo on our membership card, since I assume we'd have to get a new card to update the expiry date.

@IcyRose - New memberships cards will be printed, so yes, when you fill in your renewal form you can choose to upload a new photo aswell. :)

@Mandie - Either, or. We'll have to try to remember to bring a receipt book down with us, but if you're not worried about a receipt either of us will do. Or do the bank transfer thing. :)
