W.I.P Mugen stages.
By Saiyajin Mui. 28/07/09, 10:57 am |
| I make stages for the fighting engine Mugen. I tend to specialize in a couple of aspects.
Here's what I'm working on at the moment.
| Spoiler: | | |
Name: Christchurch Cathedral HDR Source: About 5 photos Animated: No Progress: 95% What's needed: Background Music Author's Note: This.... Was a pain in the posterior to pull off. I literally hung around at the Cathedral for 30 minutes so I could take a still shot. |
| Spoiler: | | |
Name: Masquerade Ball Source: Bioshock Animated: Yes Progress: 98% What's Needed: Fine tuning Author's Note: I really like how this one's turning out. |
| Spoiler: | | |
Name:Siren Alley - Shrine to Jack Source: Bioshock 2 Animated: No Progress: 95% What's Needed: Background Music Author's Note: See comment on 'Would You Kindly?' |
| Spoiler: | | |
Name: Fontaine Futuristics Source: Bioshock 2 Animated: Yes Progress: 95% What's Needed: Background Music Author's Note: Scaling was a pain in this one too, but I think I have it right. |
Feedback Appreciated.

| | I have no patience for character making. Trust me, I've tried. I need to work on some more Chch based stages. I should give night photography a try. |

| It's diffcult, I was more into it for the spriting side o' things lol Chch stages would be awesome, i can just see it now. you gotta make a stage on the multi way crossing near the chalice and that giant wheat statue and KFC if you know which one i mean |

| Yeah. I try not to animate a number of my RL stages as animations can't be as consistant. I did do a Cathedral Square one, as well as one inside the Cathedral. I did an underpass somewhere and attempted a Riccarton Mall one.
Apparently I can't take photos of the mall. |

| Wow that's impressive. As for the four way crossing one, i think it'd be really awesome to have it like the characters are fighting in the middle of the road with the traffic waiting to go. but a shot like that would be uber hard to shoot.... |

| Yeah. Also it'll be inconsistant as traffic would be held up for a funking long time due to the stage not being animated.
So you had something like this in mind, but with traffic?

Also for references, here's the Chch Cathedral Interior stage.

| It's still pretty amateurist work though. I can spend a day in Chch, take about 400+ photos and only use about 4 of them.
The top was a game rip FYI. |

| New WIP.
The Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. I sort of took that photo in a rush as we were just about to leave when the photo was taken.
I did a run through with Photoshop and got the results as shown below:

Edit:
| Spoiler: | | | |
Progress: 25% What needs to be done: Conversion and adding BGM.
If there's anyone who was at last night's ball and plays Mugen, feel free to PM me. I wouldn't mind getting a stage tester who's actually from New Zealand.
Feedback Appreciated. |
