They would have been slightly out of sync probably. I tended to go in the order I found them.

Except the first 5 or so, Dragonflight -> The White Dragon, which I got in order. Very Happy

Art thou being sarcastic? Nah. It is for me anyway....I just think it's beautifully written and, if you're in the right mindset, very engaging.

My teachers think it's bizarre that I read it willingly, though.

I'm currently reading The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Non-Believer, and before that I'd just finished A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin, the latest in his A Song of Ice and Fire series. You haven't read fantasy until you've read this series.

So I moved on to his super-prequel series The Word and Void, set in the 80s-today. I was suprised at how good these three were. Finally, I'm onto the Genesis of (Shannara) series that bridges the timespan in the immediate aftermath of apocalypse.

Yes, other than Word and Void, and Genesis of Shannara, Brooks is completely sub-par in the fantasy world.
