Putting super long wig in ponytail or make clip on?

RAWR.
I really don't like the look of having wigs put into a ponytail >3>;; I've seen so many cosplays where you can see people's hair underneath... makes me want to cry XD

So, is there any fool proof way to having the wig put into a ponytail? o3o;;

If not, Im planning to buy two wigs. One medium length and one 40" long wig. The 40" wig will be butchered and be used as a clipon. But the thing is... how the hell do you make one? o_o Also, don't want to buy one since I can't find any suitable or to my liking (searched across the world wide web and turned up with nothing D8!)

Yeah I had no idea how to make clip ons either, so I ended up tying my Yoko one up. I did it in a way where you couldn't see my hair underneath though. It ended up being a really loose, low ponytail which I then sort of clipped up to the right place.

It looked okay, although I admit it could have looked a little better...

You CAN buy clip-ons...But they're kind of expensive as far as I know.

And... I'm going to act like I know what I'm talking about... How about extensions? My gf has some that are really long and they are about 5-10cm wide. They clip on to her hair and stuff =3

Uh;;; Extensions are expensive. And the pony tail i'm trying to do is really thick... OTL;;

You could try and 'stuff' the base of the ponytail so that it's thick at the top and the extensions carry some of that poofyness? I don't know, I'm totally just theorising. >.

What I'm doing for Chibi Usa is buying a base wig and ponytail clip ons, you can actually buy them together in the same shade from Ebay

Extension hair isn't that expensive if you're not fussed on quality - and unless it HAS to be super awesome shiny cool, the little hair-braiding places sell yaki extension hair for ten bucks or so each. The hair is pretty naff...but it's cheap, so it's worth a look.
