Yue! But Halp please? :)

I've been utterly captivated by Yue's general look, and I've always had a vauge idea to make a cosplay with wings and Yue's are soso pretty. And after seeing the EPIC SO EPIC cosplays this year I so want to make one :0.

I only have very moderate skills as a sewer though and taking a critical look at the costume think that it is doable. I was wondering if anyone had any pattern suggestions for his jacket/coat thing. That looks to be the most difficult part (bar the wings. But I have no trouble making props).
It's also been a while since I last watched Cardcaptors and was wondering if Yue had a prop I could make. Cosplay feels odd when I don't have some sort of prop.

And the shoes are also a :/ thing, was wondering what shoes I could wear, because Armageddon requires some sort of footwear I think.

I would have a year to make and plan this costume because it seems like a major undertaking.

That coat looks pretty easy. Get a pattern for a trench and CHOP IT! Very Happy

Oh, and the Chibi currently wants to make Sakura for next year, so she could be your prop! The proportions are about right..

The most I've altered is my Sora top this year :/ And that was just shortening the sleeves and making the collar fall around my shoulders.

This is one of the best Tutorials for angel wings I know of.
Particully for the harness section and tricks for making them light (which will be your major problem.)

I sugest starting on the wings early rather than late as wings take 3 times longer than you expect.

Look up as many different Tutorials as you can for angel wings cause then you can mix and match with
what you what
what you have
and what you are willing to pay.

Have you thought about cost?
Feathered wings can cost ALOT

-nods- I have thought about cost. Reason I want to start soon-ish, to spread the cost over the year. I thought too that I could use the leftovers for a Rakka cosplay I've been flirting with for a couple years.
