i was so upset hahaha... the box got totally crushed and it was before the onstage stuff... luckily, coming prepared with a gluegun was a good idea. 8D;; but the guy got shunned by the other cosplayers because the story spread so quickly rofl. mostly because people asked me why i was kneeling over the penguin and gluing it back together on the second floor before the show.

I think you probably felt about as upset as I did with Rosso falling apart while I wore it (only, that was my own fault, not someone else's... OTL) Posession of a glue gun is a MUST. Never again will I attend a con without an emergency kit - even if it's just in the car instead of with me. *o* So many costumes have been saved by the wonder that is hot glue... And Safety Pins - that's another one. Rosso was almost entirely salvaged by safety pins...

I *almost* feel sorry for the guy, because I know he didn't intend for that result (it was shortly after someone said "somebody throw her!" coz prinnies explode when thrown - unfortunately for him it was the wrong kind of explosion. *bitter laugh*), but regardless of intention, it doesn't change that it was a stupid idea to begin with. :/ Hopefully it's a lesson well learned...

But as you say - oh well, the past has passed. >w< ...I only wish I had been able to protect you. >.< I felt like such a bad minder after that. >.<;;;

hehe, that did take a while. must have a proper look later tonight.

on a sidenote, I still need to do basic photoshopping on the judging room photos and upload them to flickr. i completely forgot afterwards, and since then i've been too busy with work. ;( but there will be some slightly tweaked ones uploaded at some point.
