Link's Tunic

OKay, so I want it to flare out. I've made (Oh who am I kidding) winged a pattern, and it doesn't look too bad, but whenever I do a gather at the bottom and then wear it, it looks like a dress gone horribly, horribly wrong. And makes me look like I'm pregnant

http://trsrockin.com/link.html#tunic Tutorial I'm using.

Advice? I was thinking of covering up the gather with a belt....

To me, it doesn't look like it'ssupposed to flare out, but just sit straight with a bit of 'wavy' material. And that tutorial shows how to do that (i.e. make it go out a little when cutting instead of going straight down).

By the looks of it a circle skirt/half circle skirt attached to top half and seam hidden by belt should work? Then add shape as needed, or take out as much as you want?

It just looks like one of those 'one-piece' medieval tunic things. And the wavy bits looks natural made by the belt, and the type of fabric... probably a bit droopy?

Sorry, can't help much. :<

The way we've done Admin's one is just as a super long baggy t-shirt. :3
