The joy of GAUNTLETS :D

Anyway, I'm really really stuck on those guantlets of his. I've bought some vinyl and some crappy $2 gloves to use as a base, but other than that I'm a bit WTF on how to make it. Any ideas? Especially the raised-up bits.

Hmmm... maybe try some light papier mache? Stick pieces of cardboard over it and then use that as a base?

Or, umm.... replace the vinyl for cardboard and then stitch it on?

Aha. I started making those gauntlets a while ago.
The problem is, I haven't finished them, so for all I know my method might not work.

But basically, what I've done so far is make the raised-up bits out of cardboard (ie. cut-up Pringles tubes!) covered with vinyl. As for joining the raised-up pieces together, it might be a good idea to use a thinner fabric (the vinyl I used for the rest of the gauntlets was that really thick upholstery stuff from Spotlight.)
