| Chris, I'm moving this to the Announcements and changing the title slightly - I think it's important that it gets seen. :) |

| Oops! I did post the changes to the 'Geddon forums and meant to post them here.
We were getting, and continue to get, forms with no photos, no information and often no contestant turning up when they were filled in on the day. So if you know anyone who may be interested in attending, feel free to print a form for them (sorry, I have to send them as txt files to Bill or I'd make them all pretty and formatted) and make sure they get images for us!
The contest is getting so big that we can no longer be responsible for making sure every contestant has a form, that is something very few, if any, of you here need to be concerned with as I rarely have trouble with regulars :)
What I will do is leave collecting the forms until later in the day. So if you have a very real reason for not having the form, you still have a chance to get one ready in time. |

| Rules have been updated again. I'm hoping the web person will link to the new forms asap as we no longer have an opt in or out of the performance and technical categories.
People also seem to be having a great deal of trouble understanding how to fill out "how did you make it" sections so I'm going to do a mock form and see if it can be linked to on the website. I will also post a link from here and on the forums.
Once this is done there will be no more leeway with bad forms! I am going to email those who have sent forms with little information to get a new one in, but this is going to be the last time. |

| Hello again everyone. There seem to be some technical difficulties with the registration forms (no idea what, I'm not the web person!) so here is a handy dandy copy of the forms: - Quote :
- GROUP REGISTRATION FORM
Contest (city and year):
Your group name:
Members of the group, names and ages:
Contact details:
Characters you are cosplaying as:
Who is responsible for each costume componant?:
Describe the creation process of YOUR costumes and props, be as descriptive as you can especially detailing who made what and how and what from:
Are you doing a skit?:
Please describe your skit and how long it is:
Describe your characters and any special interactions between them:
Why did you decide to cosplay as these characters?:
If you have not attached images of your characters please explain why. If they are book characters please quote any descriptions from the book/series describing the character and costume as you can:
********** Before you send this form please make sure you reread the rules and have asked any questions you have needed to.
Please note the times you need to be at each stage of the contest.
Also please send as many views of the original costumes/characters as you can. We need to know what they look like front top to bottom, front, side and back to make a fair comparison.
In the subject header of your email please include the city you are entering to help speed the organisation process.
Please be as descriptive as you can when explaining how you made your costumes. If you have any particular details in your work you would like the judges to make special note of please include that also. For example the inside of an item to show the structure or finishing technique. There is a limited time for judging so any information of this sort will help in the judging process. - Quote :
- SOLO REGISTRATION FORM

| Make a valid reason for it- or if the skit is already taking characters out of their own reality it could work ;) But you don't have to speak to be effective on stage :) |

| May want to point out that for the contest of Wellygeddon the clocks go back. There's bound to be those (myself included) that forget this change & arrive super early. Early's better than late, but if you've got an uncomfortable costume I'd pay attention to daylight savings. |

| Just a reminder, now that the forms have been fixed to please try and get them in on time. You still have about 9 days for Christchurch and another week after that for Wellington :)
And to clarify, the rules have pretty much not changed, just been made more refined as time goes on. Make it yourself, make it safe and get in on time. Those are the absolute basics, all the rest is to make it clear what is deemed safe, what is deemed self made and when the time is! |

I've always wondered about this phrase. Do you mean mentioning it, or putting in a picture? |

| Either :) Just make sure that if you show progress photos to mention that is what they are :) We have had people send in mixtures of images of premade items (from ebay usually) which is a bit confusing!
Right, I think tonight I shall stay up and cobble my dummy form up. |
