I agree that the plot wasn't great.
But it was certainly a HELL of a lot better than all the other movies-based-on-video-games that I've seen.
(Has anyone else seen the Doom movie that came out a few years ago? It was just like the video game: "There are some aliens here, we'd better shoot them..." *violent shooting and blood'n'guts* "Well, we shot all the aliens. Cool.")

So although Advent Children wasn't great, it was significantly better than I expected it to be, especially since that other Final Fantasy movie did so terribly.

And it is worth watching it just to look at the very nice CGI. And the somewhat ridiculous/amusing fight scenes *recalls Cloud cutting a motorbike in half in mid-air*

And in the English dub Cait Sith has an Irish accent. Heehee.

It's okay. I don't fangirl over Final Fantasy. I have a range of the games though (fail'd them all though).

But yeah, I watch it for the pretty CG.

I'm kinda just sick of Final Fantasy now though.

Actually it was also pure win when we watched it at Midsummer-snow's party, with Molly's dubbed version, that was so funny~

Some ways in which AC could have been improved (in my opinion):

- Red XIII should have gotten more than one line.

- That fight scene in the tunnel should have somehow taken place at that brightly-coloured Chocobo racecource at the Gold Saucer.

- Cloud's hair should have been yellow, and his outfit should have been purple (the way things are MEANT to be.)

- Kadaj and his buddies should have been wearing those uniforms that My Chemical Romance are so obsessed with.

- Cid should have been blatantly addicted to nicotine patches. Or candy cigarettes.

- Cloud should have spent the entire second half of the movie looking for the cellphone that he lost, and Reno should have defeated Sephiroth instead.

- Yuffie should have spent the entire movie stealing people's petrol discount supermarket receipts so that Cloud could afford to put more petrol in his motorbike.

*is very tempted to try and remake AC using Windows Movie Maker and MS Paint*
