January is nice and hot/warm for skimpy outfits....

We could do like, 3rd Sat/Sun of the month or something... ya know.... like Labour Weekend.

This idea is soooo coool!!!!! YEAH!!! And we'll have to advertise around the whole place etc etc....

OH OH! Handouts about this at DO and Armageddon!!!! Within reasonable limits, of course.

Lawl. Well from the looks of it so far January seems like a winner and I agree with that. I reckon maybe something around the third weekend of January - a date not too close from New Years when people might go away and such, as well as not too close to the beginning of school/uni. Having it on the picnics would be a great idea too so there lies another pro for having it in January. ^_^ But that's just me.

January does seem to make sense... I mean there's no school and just because it's a little warm doesn't mean we have to make a lot of effort to change the date when things like work, cons, school and other things are in the way. Better to be warm and be able to take off layers than freezing to death and having to cart around extra stuff right?

Oh and the idea of a national cosplay day is brilliant!

Well since it's in the school holidays, we won't really need to worry about it landing on a school day or anything so having an actual date would probably be a good idea. ^_^

Having an actual date is a good idea as many of the cosplayers are in school.
Having said that...us full time workers may miss out on joining in...

mmm, perhaps for the first one pick a date that falls on a weekend, then just use that date from there?

If we do that, it can be on either the 10th, 17th, 24th, or 31st :)
Which is preferred...?
Those are all Saturdays by the way, & in 2010 it'll fall on a Sunday, so it'll be on the weekend for the first 2 years ^___^
