This, *points*, is my Card Captor Sakura fanart for Auckgeddon last year (it feels so weird saying that, I'm not exactly used to calling 'this year' 2008 yet... ). I finally made a Deviant Art account, after looking at Tammy's uber spiffy account. I'm so proud of the account!! But it feels so empty, especially since there's no avatar... I've still got a lot of studying to properly operate DA... There's so many conditions and rules to follow as well >.< But who actually reads the ENTIRE list of Terms & Conditions before clicking 'I Agree'

I'm probably not the person to ask for constructive comments since my art = fugly
buut!

It doesn't apply so much as it's an anime picture and if it's disproportionate it's at least well-masked by the clothes. xD Probably the only reason you notice if it's a little disproportionate is because you drew it and know what the body looked like before you drew clothes over it.

If you're worried about proportions, just take a glance at one of these every now and then.

I read somewhere that you should always draw a skeleton, then the muscles, then the skin, then the clothes, but who can seriously be bothered? xD
Still, you need to acknowledge where the joints are---although I love your picture, she seems to be a missing a joint in one of her arms. Define the elbows even when the arms is straight.

Oh well. To me she doesn't look disproportionate... she's just... high-riding with her skirt.

Now that I've sufficiently made myself feel mean by critiquing your picture,
I think that your shading is beautiful. You used watercolours on her hair and skirt right? It's stunning. x) And good job on the staff, and the pretty flowers in the background.

Thanks for everybody's kind comments, my ego is very bloated right now!! And good point, Annabel, my Sakura is a joint-missing mutant *sweatdrops* Alas! I shall try much harder on her anatomy next time!~
Oh. And the hair is colouring pencils, & the skirt is crayons... ^^
